Thank you! I have worked so incredibly hard for this moment haha I just got big into archery 3 years ago when I picked up a saddle and it has changed me as a hunter all around!
New hunter here, and new archer and new saddle hunter lol.

Cherish it! I understand the finally paid off feeling! Couldn't be happier for you, the first time for things are always so, so sweet!

Happy Thanksgiving fellas! I’m taking the day off hunting to spend time with the family, but if you’re out there good luck!

I’m out too. I would have thought with the cold snap I’m seeing today deer would be up and moving, but I’ve got nothing. This is one of the few days so far I haven’t even seen anything. Ah well, I’ll go back out this afternoon

My brother and I snuck up to new Hampshire today for some rifle hunting. Day was cut short at 745 when my brother let it fly on his first buck! Our grandfather died young unfortunately and he was the only real hunter in our family so the last 4 years or so my brother and I have learned everything on our own! In those 4 years we’ve harvested 6 deer so I’d say we’re doing well! IMG_0011.jpeg

That’s awesome! Tell your brother congratulations!

With a bow!! You stud!
Thanks! He came skittering out of some thick stuff and ran on a line to about 15-20 yds at my 6. Never really saw me. Heard me draw and stopped, looked at me and I smoked him. The funny thing was about a half hour later a spike came out and sniffed his body. Hung out for a bit and then wandered off.

Sounds like the guys have been hitting the private I hunt pretty good. They took a few more does last few days. Hope they didn't run everything off. Gonna give it a shot tomorrow morning. I got another freezer now and two more tags.

Good luck!

Gun opener here tomorrow! So I’ll be boots on the ground for the next two weeks. After shotgun I go back to being in a tree with the bow or muzzle loader. Might even bow hunt a pinch between the houses after work the next few weeks

Well.. sat until noon. Snow was starting to come down fast. Since I DRT climbed, I decided to get down before it got to icy. Took a walk. Kicked up a small buck. Only deer I saw other than the one I almost hit on the way down.. I left since I didn't want to drive home in the dark, cold, snow, ice.
