Sliding out of work at noon today to start my long weekend a little early. I've got a cyberscouted spot I've never been into but looks great for a North wind. I've been waiting and it looks like it should be perfect this afternoon. Have a great weekend guys and good luck!

Best of luck. I got the next few days to hunt. Im gonna try out a new spot I found yesterday at work. Plenty of acorns and a point with a trail that had a few scrapes on it. Its not much but its the best I have.

Ive been cyber scouting and found this little hidey hole. So today I went to check it out and maybe put a camera in. I had to turn around to park and in the middle of turning around saw two doe. So I found this well used run paralleling a field and decided to put a camera and modem on it. I put the cameras up about 10 feet with the use of my climber. When I pulled the strap tight on the modem the plastic clip broke and I fell over backwards. I was only four feet off the ground and didn't get hurt but it was comical. The modem didn't work, I guess it broke in the fall. I left the camera anyways. I'll be back there before first light tomorrow.

I have family coming to visit tomorrow, but I plan on getting out on Sunday. Starting next Friday, I will be in the woods quite a bit. Oct 25-27, Nov 1-3, 7-11, 15-17, 22-24, and of course Thanksgiving. I'm ready!

Had a tough day. I sat 2 different trees. 2nd tree was over a few scrapes with urine in them I found while scouting/hunting as I hiked 2 miles around looking for sign after the morning sit. I didnt even see a squirrel today. The hardest part was the wobbly LWHC still. I used a cam strap every way imaginable but it didn’t work. Around the tree top and bottom and around the band. It didnt help at all.

I can relate. I set up in two different places today both of which had excellent sign. Bottom line, saw nothing. Oh well, it was a great day to be in the woods.

I'm going to be in the tree again in the morning. Probably going to sit a spot close to the parking lot I've walked by for years. Hard for me to feel like I'm wasting a sit but there's sign there and I'm trying to get out of my box as much as possible this year. Wish you all luck tomorrow. Who all is going to make it out?

I made a thread about the climbing method I've been messing with. Check it out and give me some feedback.

Muzzleloader in morning, expecting about 50 degrees and no wind. My wife is not hunting so I think I will set up near her designated area, LOL. That’s where the bucks seem to be hanging out. We shall see, I will pull the trigger on 3 particular deer. A big 6, a nice 10 or a weird antlered deer named Donald!
