Team 9 Thread

I’ve blanked on all seven hunts. Sorry guys. But I got until February to redeem myself.

At least you're getting out there. I went out opening morning and then two weeks ago I took my father in law to a piece of public I'd never hunted before and spent most of the hunt walking and looking unsuccessfully for something worth hunting. It'll be another two weeks before I'm back out. You got plenty of time

So obviously I'm pumped. Short sit before work. I think it was my last chance at this guy for a while. Milo is getting cut today or tomorrow. He's been coming through just before legal light but he messed up this morning. Got in around 45 minutes before legal light just in case he was coming through already. Was watching a small buck under me with binos and he all of a sudden just kinda melted and walked off with his tail tucked. I was pretty sure it was because of a more dominant deer. Sure enough big boy materialized quietly. Didn't hear him he was all of a sudden just there. Made a perfect 22 yard shot on him right at legal light. He actually died in front of a camera about 100 yards away so I didn't have to wonder if he was down. That cam kept triggering because the other deer were circling him and blowing.

Turned my nightly walk with the dogs into a training session. It's cool enough that I won't sweat to death so I broke out the kifaru frame pack and started hauling 40 lbs along with us for the 1.75 mile walk. Figured I'd use my time wisely and prepare for packing a deer out during rifle season. Not hunting but it's 45 minutes where I think about hunting :tearsofjoy:

I’m the saddle this afternoon. I’m hunting from ground height because of all of the leaves still on. Lots of acorns dropping but I don’t expect to see much. It’s still pretty warm.

We can add a few more points fellas
