Team 9 Thread

Nice finish @Micneador . Congrats on a nice buck!
Thank you @boyne bowhunter and @Glenn

Short story, this deer was in the same spot where I put down the injured 6pt last week (pretty sure I bumped him on the way in that morning) same exact spot and maybe 50 yards from the same tree. Not 10 minutes after shooting light he came cruising through like an early November rut buck. 27 yard shot, quarter away. Arrow split the connection of the humerus and scapula bones. 460 TAW with a magnus 125gr 4 blade. Didn't make it 60 yards before he piled up. Total 30 minutes in the stand.

I just got back from Mississippi. Had a great trip but no buck points to add. Killed 3 does. Still have the rest of my Missouri season to add a couple points with a bigger buck. Not sure how much I’ll get out before Christmas at this point. Will hit it hard after though!

My late "primitive" season started today, so back at it this Saturday with archery equipment! Hopefully the weather changes a bit and it's not the freeezing rain they're calling for... It's been down to negative 5 up to high single digits for the overnights, with about 4-6" of snow on the ground, so the patterns have rapidly become fairly consistent!

Easy peasy! That's the issue with first/last light lol... It went literally nowhere, took less than 2 minutes to find it. Into gut and out the back of lungs. Probably died inside 30 seconds. Arrow showed gut tho. Gave it 2 hours and planned on tracking/glassing my way in.

Won't help for points, as I already submitted two lol...

I have been sidelined with family and work stuff. Hopefully get in a couple more sits in this coming weekend and the following.
Our season ends the second weekend in January, with a few counties having extended archery… but I don’t hunt those counties.
Heck , I need to do some research and extend my season for next year.

I have submitted 2 doe, so I got to find some horns to add points.
Good luck everyone!!!

I’ve got a buck tag that’s good until 1/4 but with my son’s basketball season in full swing I don’t see myself getting out before then.

I also get a bonus doe tag for a two day primitive season on 2/1-2/2. It won’t help our team points but I’ll likely get out that weekend and try to add another doe to the freezer.

My season ends January 20th, either archery or flintlock. I have three more doe tags left and hopefully I can fill another one or two, at least! We're completely out of ground meat now, so the next couple would be entirely ground (less the straps and stuff lol)...

Actually saw two additional does and three bucks on Saturday night as well! One was decent, and I would've thought about it if I hadn't already filled my buck tag. Everything came through with plenty of daylight, but they were all on edge because of the wind. 20 degrees with a 20mph wind, about a 4-5 degree wind chill feel... The blood never dried out, just frosted over and froze.
