The idea is novel but its not practical due to the Phantom's poly ball hernia. This is from my buddies saddle that was 3 months old. 6'6" & 265 lbs... They replaced the saddle. Never tried a saddle before but what I noticed most was that the bridge would pop out of the channels while moving around. Kinda like a unexpected thud. I know what I would do after the warranty runs out unless they do a total retro recall... which they should. Take it to a sail or boat yard shop and have them do a DIY fabric taco and eliminate the string of ball... unless some else has a better idea... super easy fix
Easiest fix would be to get it replaced under warranty and sell it when that new one comes in...
But in all seriousness there are several manufactures that are using prussic knots on the bridge loops to accomplish this same task but with even more adjustability with a little more work. I haven’t heard of slipping. Might be another option.
I would carefully remove the ball sack from the phantom and use a prussic like a triad bridge or similar.

Raisins, I think you misunderstood me unless your are referring just to the ball capture material. Under stretch and stress the ball wants to pop out either because of the material picked or the design application for capture. The harness is compromised only in that the balls fall out. I don't see the strength being compromised just the design intent of ball capture to have a bridge tilt. BUT I'm not a engineer. So what is the fix? After all the balls come out on their own simply wrap another piece of 2" webbing completely around the affected area like a taco with the open end up and resew in in the same manner as the capture ball stitches except in the center of the vacant ball location through all the webbing & then across the top to seal the edge parallel with the bridge straps to clean it up. Super simple. All you are doing is adding more strength and a fatter area for the rope mod as outlined by some and encasing that piece of affected material. If is was my harness and after the warranty or what ever is done by Tethrd and the problem persisted that is the route I personally would take. In another sense if some felt insecure and will refuse to use it they could take it a pull bench for fun and try a destructive test with a scale on that mod and then the other side as is. I'll bet a ham sandwich and a case of beer the fix will be stronger and break last.
Hiding the structural material of the loops where it can't be inspected, but is subject to abrasion damage (whether from the balls or from grit that makes its way in through the perforated ballsack) isn't great.Under stretch and stress the ball wants to pop out either because of the material picked or the design application for capture. The harness is compromised only in that the balls fall out.
Would you prefer a discomfort-ball saddle with castration bands??Warning. I would not buy a comfort ball saddle. Buy another brand

Everytime I see your username I can only think of the kids bar named Raisins in south park. hilarious though probably not why that's your usernameIt's because I'm so secure, Maverick. I can afford the luxury of having the username I have. Conversely, you named yourself after Tom Cruise in Top Gun.
