Tethrd Phantom

After all the “when’s my saddle shipping” chaos that went on at the start of the mantis I would doubt they would handle this the same way.

What I meant is if they have been producing phantom and mantis concurrently to build up stock for future release, then it could explain mantis wait times this season. Allocating limited production resources to one saddle could affect availability of the other. This is based on the fact that accessories were outsourced overseas due to the inability to source additional sew shops. This also assumes stock availability 1st quarter of 2020. I would think they’d announce in JAN and maybe product be available sometime before next Fall. This would give time to ramp up production.

Just my guess but they haven’t been producing them. They were testing them this hunting season with prototypes. This means they have been probably making a few tweaks along the way or had that potential. They wouldn’t want to start production until they had the design locked in.
Again I don’t know. Just a guess.

Lots of assuming and guessing and such going on. All those will be confirmed or denied within a week....
Very excited, I've been slowly putting the parts together for my saddle system. The saddle itself it the last piece, just in time for a new model.

That is a lot of guessing and assuming. I can say that shows like ata are about introducing new products, how they compare to previous models and why the manufacturer thinks this one is better. I can’t speak for tethrd but I can say most of the stuff released at ata isn’t even in full production yet. It’s how trade shows like that work. If you go to shot show there will be guns released that aren’t in production also. It’s just an introduction. Being prepared to flood the market isn’t what ata is about.

Watch for some good review vids from Garret Prahl once ATA starts... one thing That has happened since the phantom announcement is that mantis saddles are not selling in 3 minutes here and the prices are coming down a little. That is a good thing for the guy / gal that doesn’t care about having the latest model.

Any different than new model year bows? There’s always an “upgrade”. I’m just thankful for the diversity in product choices, and I’ll continue to support the industry that gives me that variety. I encourage them to never be satisfied and continue to push their imagination to develop new gear. Is any of it necessary? Probably not, but being 100% honest, it makes what I do more fun, keeps it interesting, and gives me new things to look forward to.

America at its best!!

I am thinking yes.

I also am guessing their comfort channels ( described on the YouTube video comment area when it was up). have something to do with preset spots on where the bridge connection area is. Like sewn in ridges that will keep the bridge connection points in place. The mantis with the amsteel bridge went to the same spot once you applied pressure to the bridge. I used a webbing bridge that I wrapped once around on each side and it kept it in place better and so I could control where the bridge pulled from. Made a huge difference in comfort for me.

This of course is pure speculation and I am bored today so had to get it off my mind and see what others thought.

Maybe these are those comfort channels?

Two years ago I was super excited for @g2outdoors and @Erniepower as they launched tethrd. I must admit the mantis just didn’t fit me well and I struggled to find comfort that would last for an all day hunt. I as well as many others thought maybe you just can’t get all day comfort out of a saddle that weighs a mere one pound.

We were wrong. I’m approaching 150 hours in the phantom. The comfort channels are legit. The saddle has the cup built in for those of us that missed that on the mantis. I really like the linesman’s hookups. So this year I’m more excited for the guys wanting that ultralight saddle without sacrificing comfort.

Can’t wait to get my hands on one!! Will they be ready to order today?
