Yeah I was just pointing out the distinction so people don't assume "oh, farm X in Y cut already, why is it up here until November". I've never heard of the natural gas drying either.
I believe some are. It sounds like some just push air around to dry the corn and some push air with low heat to dry it out.I can remember as a kid hearing the dryers running in the corn bins,I thought they were electric.
Heck I’m in michigan and the 150 acre field across the road from my house is 4 ft tall weeds. I’ll never see a deer with that much bedding that I don’t have permission on.Here in Michigan we had such a wet spring/early summer that there's a large number of fields that got planted late and will probably be up into late November, when they usually come down in October. You can drive past and tell if the farmer got the crop in on time (full height with tassels on top) or late (only half height now) and try to guess how that'll screw with your usual acorn vs corn spots.
