The first official Florida Saddle Hunter Meet up

Wife works for a Texas company. Their grid can't handle it. My understanding is they're being asked to turn off everything that isn't AC certain hours of the day to keep from brown and blackouts.
Just shows how truly effective solar and wind based electricity is not

Still nothing yet…. Waiting on those quota lottery results is stressful
Don’t know if it’s ever taken this long to get results. Most times it’s by the next day at the latest. Maybe we got it and they don’t know how to tell us. They’re nervous that a group of tree diaper crazies are going be on the island with them.

I looked this morning and it looked like they weren't even going to start phase 2 until the 24th, I think we usually y get results the day before or of the next phase. I agree though, I swear I don't t remember it taking this long.

They were all fascinated by my set up during white tail last October… I had people asking me to show them how I climb the pine trees back at camp

Only down side for me with pines are the sap all over my ropes. They are plentiful around me though and being almost perfectly straight with pretty much no limbs to climb over have become one of my favorites. I like to find ones right on the edge of a oak hammock.

Pine trees are the tree where SRT really shines for me. If you do a canopy anchor, you will barely get sap on your ropes except maybe where the rope girth hitched the tree. I prefer oaks and hickory trees to pine rows because of cover but in certain WMA’s pines are my only really option besides palm trees.
