The official Coffee Thread.

Man. Now that the price of coffee seems to continue to climb. Bumping this back up. Anyone adjusting what they are doing? Very rarely do I stop to get a coffee any more. Seems I just buy what's on sale at the store.
Anyone else adjust there habit?

I’ve found that a premium coffee mixed 1/3-1/2 with a budget ground (keurig reusable pod for me) tastes a lot better than pure budget ground.

1-Caribou Mahogany... 2-Caribou Daybreak...3... random stuff the wife bring home from Trader Joes.... buy whole beans and grind at home... black... sometimes the wife will do Cuban coffee with Cafe bustelo which is AWESOME... but I don't have the patience for that on the reg.

Nah, coffee is the one thing I will splurge on but that said, I never go out and get coffee. For what I would spend on two trips to Starbucks, etc., I can get a can of coffee for the house. I usually drink either Folgers Columbian or the Kroger or Walmart equivalent. I've been down the whole grind my own bean journey but these days I just hook up an IV with a gallon of strong coffee first thing in the morning and go from there, lol.

We like green mountain or 8 oclock bean when we brew a pot.
Pods I like Black Rifle but I need to be in the mood for that kind of kick!

My thermos.
A French press and grinder.
whole bean fair trade organic coffee.
travel mug.

im amazed to see how many of you live in urban and suburban places! When I head out in the morning for a local hunt I don’t pass a single store. If I’m traveling longer distances it’s VERY rare anything I pass is open and if it is it’s a gas station with overpriced mediocre coffee. For those long drives I carry a travel mug full of home brew for the ride and a thermos of coffee for the woods.

if coffee prices keep rising im considering going to one cup a day and supplementing the rest with black tea.

I quit caffeine about a month ago, it was a habit that needed to be broke. Now I’m a mushroom tea guy:pensive:
Chaga Chai is remarkably good and it’s very easy to harvest your own and make a home blend!

I’ve noticed my wife using her Breville a lot more. She used to alternate between that and Starbucks but I hardly see her with Starbucks anymore. Says it’s gotten too expensive.

I have one large cup of Dunkies in the morning with salt in it that's it. I'm interested in the Mud water. I guess they have a mushroom coffee also. A mix of srooms and coffee.

Salt? Interesting. Lot or just a little? Seen guys shake some salt in their beer. But never coffee...
