Well I’ve been following this thread for awhile and figured I would make a contribution since I got a decent pack set up now for saddle hunting. Just got the alps outdoors pursuit pack and am quit pleased with it so far.
It gives me enough adjustability to carry multiple set ups and handles the weight well. Has enough room in the large pocket for an additional layer, my rappel rope and of course snacks. The straps on the back keeps the hawk helium’s or one stick and RR tight enough to stay quiet while walking.
Once I get to the tree I can clip my bow into the pack and carry up my gear with me in one go. Did it this morning with my one stick set up was about as comfortable as you can get one stick climbing with a pack and bow on your back. (Didn’t use the cam buckle pocket at bottom for climb and held fine)
Once in the tree it has a drop down shelf pocket on the exterior to keep gear at an arms reach and a quiver holder on the side if you choose to use it. (Quiver holder is Velcro so I’m not a fan of that bc of the noise)
