I know MR redid the popup series and showed it at ATA.....anyone know if they used a quieter material?

They made a few nice changes to it but the material is still the same I believe. There is a thread titled Mystery Ranch Pop Up 38 (I beleive) that has some pics and discussion.

I’m 6’6” & MR treehouse is very adjustable, works well. Not sure what your setup is...

Do you set this at base of tree, and just take up essentials, or does it go up with you, either hoisting it or carrying it up? Just curious, looks like a great pack, but also looks BIG.
Oh boy... this looks sweet! Dunno if I need to spend the money on it, but I really like it.
does anyone know if the Full Curl Combo or Full Curl Lite Combo is adjustable/suitable for taller guys? I’m 6’3” with a long torso.

I’m also 6’3”. Not sure about the horn hunter packs, but the pop up is very adjustable friendly as stated before.

Once I get sticks situated then it goes back on for the climb up. It’s not as big as it looks.......

That's how I attach my sticks to my packs. I specifically like to strap them across the pack like that as it puts the steps over and under the pack creating a smaller profile...but also because if they were attached to just the frame, the steps would over hang too much and get into the back of my head. I've been happy with my G2 Day pack for over a decade now...Buying a new and more expensive pack wouldn't be a problem...I just don't like moving away from what works for me. However, I do miss an actual frame. Looking at the new Horn Hunter Full Curl lite, I can see getting the G2 combo with it and still strapping my steps to the outside like I usually do...but having load lifting abilities should I require them. I also like that I can pack my outer layers under the wings, making it easier to access them when I get to the base of my trees. I've been researching EXO and Stone Glacier for the last three months expecting to make a long term buy....Dang, decisions, decisions.

What’s the material like on the Full Curls. Really adverse to the “ not so quiet “ materials on some of these higher priced packs. Got an older Badlands pack that is the “ wolfskin” type material. Love that pack.

Here’s my current setup. 2 variations: 1- using 8x WE steps, weighs in at 22lbs 8oz total ; 2- using Hawk Helium sticks, weighs almost 24lbs total. I usually don’t go nuts on weight but in this case I nerded out on it just for fun.

What kind of platform is that you’re using? Is it a wild edge product?

Most backpacking western pack companies aren’t going to build a bunch of stuff out a fabric that won’t last 20-30 years. They expect it to last that long when you drop 2-500.00 on a pack. I think they’re missing an opportunity to appeal to whitetails hunters willing to pay 3-4 times for gear for it to be quiet though.

I wonder if @DaveT1963 could be our fleece ambassador to them and bridge the gap. Surprises me how well it holds up...

Does it have the red horns on it?

I’ve often wondered if these are authentic if it’s the same ones I see on eBay from time to time.

They always say warranty applies to anything with the red horns on it or something to that affect.

Also there are a couple of Kathy Kelly fleece fanny packs on AT classifieds for those wanting something quiet.

No it’s actually called the Ridge Runner by a company called Out On A Limb. Awesome platform IMO and not terribly expensive.
