Fanatic pack with 4 beast sticks. Predator platform is inside.

You beat me to it. Wondering if this pack could be used on a frame like the M1? Seems like it could be the best of both worlds.. drop the frame at the base of the tree and take up a stealthy pack.

My thoughts exactly, although I’m not too concerned about the rigidity of it as the platform would act as the frame for the sticks.

Nice, looks legit.

How well does the front hold the sticks in place? I’m running muddy pros and they’re heavier than the beast sticks. Would love to know how this compares to the toolbox

I want the frame to be able to pack out a deer. I’m on public and not dragging a deer 1-2 miles lol

Lol same here. Normally a group of us go. So typically, we gut there, and then start taking turns dragging. Hopefully someone doesn’t forget the cart at the truck!

Also, if I am by myself, I do carry a pack in with me that will allow me to carry out.

No experience with toolbox. Predator platform does help act as a stiffener within the pack for the sticks. It works well with light sticks, but may have a bit more trouble with heavier sticks like muddy pros, not sure though.

If you are looking for a cheaper pack I just got a Magellan now back and seems to fit everything I need and comes with a water bladder

Does anyone use a Horn Hunter G3. I looked at at a ton of packs and settled on this one. I have one ordered after packing my old Allen and not liking the way it carried my sticks and platform along with all my other hunting gear. I don't mind weight as I hunt private ground and have a pretty short hike. I also should state that I am pretty prepared for any thing that could be thrown at me while hunting.

Do you think a WE bag with 8 steps would fit in the main compartment of the bag?
I have never seen the WE steps myself but it’s pretty roomy. They had Another one similar that had more space on the main compartment but didn’t have 2 straps on both sides.

I am currently using the G3. Horn Hunter makes a quality bag, and they have wonderful customer service. The G3 has pockets galore! if you like to take a lot of gear and stash it away in an organized manner, this bag is perfect! As far as carrying my other gear, it does it the way I need it to for now. I really like the bag, but i feel like i'm still chasing the "perfect" bag for me. With all that being said, i would certainly recommend the G3 to anyone. Solid bag!

I have a G3 that I need to dig out of storage once they finish my house.
How are you carrying your sticks and platform on the G3?

I carried my sticks last year on the bedroll straps on the bottom. I prefer to carry sticks this way because I also carry my bow on the pack with the sticks. I don't use a platform, just a ring of steps, so I couldn't help you on that one. This year I am using wild edge steps and a ring of steps. I make a kydex carrying holster to carry the steps inside my bag. my bow goes in the supplied bow carry straps on the back of the bag. I really love the little storage pockets located throughout the bag. It really allows me to organize my gear efficiently.

I just received the Full Curl Lite G3 combo. I can't believe the number of pockets and the amount of storage, along with all of the straps. Honestly, I was confused for awhile just how to hook everything back up once I disconnected the buckles, but there are a lot of options. I plan on probably using the pack solo when hiking in and hand carrying a bow or rifle, and then the combo when on a bike and riding in or in the winter needing to pack warmer layers.

If the full curl lite had been available when I got my g3, i would have gotten that. It looks like the perfect combo.

Here’s my current setup. 2 variations: 1- using 8x WE steps, weighs in at 22lbs 8oz total ; 2- using Hawk Helium sticks, weighs almost 24lbs total. I usually don’t go nuts on weight but in this case I nerded out on it just for fun.

So you just carry you’re sticks with that strap/sling? Isn’t it bouncing around and annoying to have your bow and your sticks and a pack?
