Trotlines

Only caught 5 today. Plus lost one on side of the boat. Let the kids run the lines today. Got to learn someday.

Forget the beer, I'm gonna ride up and take the impeller out of @swampsnypers boat. I trash-talked way too much to let him beat me.

Trotlines have slowed down a bit for me. Seems like the longer they sit the worse the do. I guess first set, best set? I've been playing around with diddy poles, yoyos, and limb lines. Left about a 6" bullhead on one limb line near a big downed tree this morning.

The individual set lines have been outperforming the trotlines hook-for-hook. I found an awesome way to set limb lines. Got a lot of left over pvc from my diddy poles. Working on building 15 of these things.

OMG! Another tinker toy for Nutterbuster.....

I think you’ll find over time that limb lines and individual sets will always outperform trotlines hook for hook.

Had a great time with @swampsnyper He already set the line so I got to do the easy part of pulling up fish. He even filleted the fish up and sent me home with some for the wife and I. Thanks again man! I’m looking forward to running some myself soon. First app I’ve ever seen too! C8BB0FA0-1EF2-449F-8799-B4B5944CEA73.pngBC79B8C3-844F-4B88-A81F-3034230730F0.png
I hope you don’t mind me sharing a photo of your boat, the thing is just awesome. It HAULS.

A real working boat. Nice.

Do you skin them and gut them? That's what I always did. The nice thing about catfish is the large bones make for easy eating.
