TX5 LONESTAR 2.0

I think the Orion could benefit from some kind of hpr type of thing. I do feel less hip pinch in the Lonestar 2.0 than the Orion. I see some of the collapsing of material between the bridge loops that the hpr remedies. The Orion is still a great saddle and Jamie’s stitching and overall quality is second to none.

Thanks. Yeah I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from Jamie, he has good designs and is an artist with the sewing machine. TX5 has good construction too, from what I've seen.

I was thinking that Jamie's pleat adjustment system might be a bit more versatile for dialing in on a lean, whereas when I tried the XPD it seemed to want to be fully open or fully closed. My Flex will stay in in-between positions so long as it's weighted but expands uncontrollably when unweighted which can be a small bother when I use the .5 as I'll stand often enough. I suppose the stretch wouldn't have those issue, and it sounds like it just finds it's sweet spot and facilitates comfort.

I think Jamie’s design to control the deployment of the pleat is the best one. You can make it closed and not open at all, a little bit or full massive pleat. I like it far more than the elastic on the Lockdown.

You could had just put thicker firmer kydex or carbon fiber in there. But yes moving the HPR back and having the webbing support it from the bridge loops prevents that from happening.
I bought chrightons lonestar last year and when I got it the kydex had some decent memory in it. I contacted tx5 and he sent me two sets of them for only the price of shipping. The new ones he sent me were I think .050 ticker and show no signs of wear yet.
