Well I’m scouting some private property I have access to now and there is a perfect ambush point where I have deer on camera. But it’s the perfect tree to climb so I may not be all ground this year. It’s amazing every time I’m in the air I wish I was on the ground and every time on the ground I wish I’m in air. Think I’m gonna just start to pack both and hunt what I feel like.

I also tested out a platform that I think I got in a trade off this site and I really liked it for how easy it was to set up. But I finally am making the move to sticks so I’m hoping to save time on my set up, which is part of the part that I did not like about aerial hunting.

Time to practice.

I kept thinking I would get around to building a ghille this year to try some ground set ups with it. Ran outta time so back to hanging with the skwerls.

That's what I'm doing this year .5 with 3 sticks and pack seat on the ground. Keep both in the truck and use pack seat to carry my deer out.

If you have one specific tree in mind and it is in the perfect spot and it is on private land, you might consider using tree bolts and setting it up so all you have to do is walk in and climb and hook up and hunt.
