Up to 50% off some Schnees boots

Ordered a pair of the uninsulated beartooths last night. Big fan of schnees pac boots and been wanting to try a pair of their mountain boots for a while. They sent me that email right after I got my Christmas bonus and I couldn't resist.

Dang You, I just talked my self out of them. Now you’ve put the thought back in my head. Lol

I can’t see you regretting the decision, especially at that price.

Ditch their insoles and get you a set of super feet insoles to replace them.

Thanks a lot fellas….

It’s almost time to replace my Danner powderhorns, any of you guys that have a pair of these care to tell me why you like them?

This same post last year got me and I ordered the non-insulated Beartooths. I wanted the insulated boots but it showed out-of-stock on their site. Well, the boots were too tight so I sent them back for a larger size. In my email I mentioned that I had wanted the insulated version and they let me exchange for those with the same discount. So if you don’t see what you want it may not hurt to email them.
I don’t have enough miles for a useful opinion other than they are comfortable. Lacing is tougher than my other boots because of the layout.

How do the beartooths run for size, big/small?

I would say they are on the small side. I put the Super Feet insoles in my boots which takes up more room than the insoles they came with. I didn't get my boots until March because they were back-ordered so I haven't put many miles on them. I bought them for cold weather hunts and I wish I had gone another half size bigger to leave more room for thicker socks.

It's impossible to speak any more highly of the timberlines. Love those boots
I was looking at those. When do use them and why do you rate them so highly? If you paired them with merino wool socks and boot blankets could they be an all season boot? 50% off is quite a deal.

I don't think I'd take them below 35 even with boot blankets. They're an early season/ high activity boot. I use them early season, turkey hunting, and all scouting trips. There's not much like them out there.
Most flexible boots generally are also short. Short boots to me are absolutely useless when there's a stream or creek every couple of hundred yards where I hunt. But these are flexible and also tall.

The flexibility is about perfect too. They flex forwards and backwards like a tennis shoe, but they are stiff with side to side motion. So they still feel like a rigged mtn boot. The laces lock perfectly. Ive never had even the slightly heel rub. I do find they need about 30 miles of break in because the leather itself is pretty stiff at first.

What do you use for your colder weather mountain hunting boots? Below 35 hike in, set up, then hang all day or four hours plus etc.??
