Vehicle organization/preparedness

No pictures but here’s my setup:
8 years as a corpsman with the Marines and rubbing elbows with the go faster crowd taught me to always be prepared and keep your trash organized. I’m not as bad as @Islandshooter but I can’t stand crap everywhere. During off season the back of my sequoia stays bare as I use it for wheel’n with the young’ns and ranch chores.
When October comes it go time. I have all my gear broke down into go bags and totes. Small 1’x1’x1’ cube tote has first aide and field dressing kit. I have a Scentlok 8k 36”x24”x24” large duffel that all of my clothes are in, and a cabelas scent free 24”x14”x14” bag that my saddle, pack and small “back and forth” items go in. Bow goes in a hard sided Plano case. I have a cargo cover for the rear cargo area. October hits, the rear seats come out, the Scentlok and first aide tote go in the rear and the cargo cover goes in place and they stay there until January. My bow and smaller bag go back and forth with me to the house so I can make adjustments, refill the pack, etc. with the cargo cover clipped in place and tinted windows you can’t even tell anything is back there. On top of all this of course I have a tote that has self recovery/rescue gear for the rig, but I’m really not too worried as I hunt pretty close to civilization and hunt a ranch and landscaping company that have access to equipment
Thanks for your service, Doc!!

As to the question of whether I load/unload ...moat of the time I unload. Only things i keep in the truck are trivial items or backups. Nothing that will cause heartache if its stolen gets left in the truck.

No plans, just eyeballed it. But I can take some measurements if you want. Biggest thing for me was to maintain the factory slide out tray for the bow. If I decided to do it again, I would prolly just use that as a work table and drop the platform down the 6 or 8 inches it takes up. More head room. Lemme know if you want more details/pics…my season is over so I’ve got nothing going on
Not yet, I just moved so I got a lot on my plate but I very well may hit you up in the future when I got some time for a project like that. I’m out in Washington state now at JBLM so I plan on looking for out of state opportunities and want to set mine up so I can sleep and pack out in it like that.

Lived and hunted out of it for three weeks this season (Ohio and Nebraska). Worked great for what I needed. Not as much room as a truck bed, but good enuff for me. Lessons learned- too much clothing (civilian and hunting), too much backup hunting gear, and I need a four sided kitchen fly tent. Would love to re-do it, but the wife would prolly object! Guess it’s time for a off season new hobby…flcanopystalker, wanna teach me how to sew stuff?!!
Say when!

One would think a submarine would teach organization, but if it did I wasn’t paying attention

What I did pick up on though was traveling light and not planning, just always being ready to go. I made back to back trips to AR the past two weekends, one for deer and one for ducks. Added a shotgun and some wafers for the second trip and my stuff only took up my side of the back seat in my truck, lol
