What kind of interest would there be for a meet, greet and show and tell for the western pa region? IMO, it'd be pretty cool to get a bunch a guys together and showcase different setups and styles. This could also give guys that are trying to break into the saddle side a chance to get eyes and hands on different options!? Let see what "yinz" think....
I'm interested. Have 3 different saddles I can bring . Been saddle hunting for a long time and love to see everyone's set ups can bring my Treesuit and a Guido's Web. Might even bring my ebike.

All right yall, I've found some potential locations that would not require a license. As I hear back, Ill keep you posted. We are going to run with the 29 June date. I called peterk1234, he organized 2 Massachusetts saddlehunter meets. He was full of great ideas for us!

I need to get some details together from you all. So, if your planning to attend, please fill this survey out real quick.

AlleghenyTom and I have emailed some of the saddle community companies to possibly get some donated gear for a raffle as well!

To keep everyone in the loop on where are, I have sent requests to a couple private archery clubs as a non member to get the skinny them hosting us.
2 said no outright unless a member requests the event. 1 Falcon archers located at 47 Papp Rd, Canonsburg, Pa 15317.
As an alternative to private clubs not hosting us, i also sent a special use request to the PGC to use SGL 203 located at State Gamelands Rd, Wexford, Pa 15090. I realize that would restrict some from being able to shoot. If in fact we resort to utilizing this location, and any hunters want to shoot their bow would be required to purchase their license earlier in the year than usual. Now, with that, if you do buy your license to shoot we can do something like giving additional tickets for the raffle if you show your license.

To add to the possibility of us utilizing the SGL, if guys would like to plan a get together next year we can get a good plan together to find a club that will host us! I think this has the potential to be a good annual thing!

There will be a raffle regardless of where we end up. So, if anyone has something they would like to add to the raffle in addition to anything we get donated by companies it would help! No obligation at all just looking to make this something worth our time and effort!

Let me know what questions y'all have.....

If I remember correctly, a licensed hunter is allowed to bring a non-licensed person on the SGL range as a guest participant.

That maybe true, but we arent talking about shooting on a range. A license holder is allowed to target shoot on SGL provide they do it a safe manner and adhere to game laws! In this case anyone shooting would need to have a 19-20 hunting license. Its a good policy, it prevents those who didn't contribute by purchasing a license from utilizing the GL. It also give hunters options on the land they help maintain!

If it does occur on gamelands, you wouldn't need your new license. A VALID license would suffice (i.e. the 2018-2019 license is still valid thru and including 06/30/2019).
