I wimped out this morning.
Me too.I wimped out this morning.
If I was to do any hunting in this weather (which I'm not) it would be ducks. Worse the weather is, the easier they drop right into the spread in my experience.-7 here with 35mph winds. I decided ducks were not that important today. So, I’m doing my best to support the coffee industry and I’m posting YouTube videos. We live in a community with older houses so we’ve been checking on neighbors and some of our older folks too.
The Grinch…aka my wife unit decided she’d use up all her remaining vacation time before leaving her current job and starting her new job at the first of the year. All the honey-do’s I’ve put off over the last few months of hunting season now have to completed before I can finish out the season.
“What do you mean I can’t go hunting?” ***Retrieves tape measure and proceeds to get the wife’s measurements.
“What do you think you’re doing?”
“I need to know how big to make the hole. Do you remember where I put the shovel?”
“Better be a snow shovel because you’re cleaning that driveway before I go shopping!”
“…Yes Dear.”
Wondered the same thing in a similar situation last year… especially getting wet early on, feel bad for em.Was 40 and raining last night. Now single digits, 35 mph wind gusts, and wind chill of -20.
How do the deer survive this? You know, the ones that got soaked last night and now have to deal with "Feels like -20" ???
You’re 100% correct. And with everything frozen I’ve got a nice creek spot that will still be open. I’m just not feeling it today. Of course if I have to play one more board game my attitude may change. If I was to do any hunting in this weather (which I'm not) it would be ducks. Worse the weather is, the easier they drop right into the spread in my experience.
