What did you do today that’s related to saddle hunting?

Do you find condensation to be an issue sleepling in the back of your enclosed pickup in the falltime? My dad and I used to do that on air matresses many years ago in the back of his pickup and I recall waking up in the morning with the inside top dripping wet. Maybe alone vs two guys there might not be enough to worry about?

The bunk gives you a place to store gear underneath, but got to remember not to sit up straight first thing in the morning. Looks good!
I get condensation in a 25 foot camper with 2 people in it. I just vent a window.

Finished making the bed frame for my mobile hunting/camping rig in my Tundra. Basically went off the Greg Godfrey template. Easy and functional. Put the bed rug in over the weekend. I’ll probably remove the bed frame and paint it to match the carpet.

Adding anything else besides the bed?

This is really cool. I'd love to do something like this with my Titan but everything would have to be easily removable since I'm always using my truck to haul stuff.

They need to do a modern version of one of these. Any of yall remember them?

It’s definitely possible that there may be a little condensation, but I’m hoping venting the windows and keeping the air circulating with a small Milwaukee fan helps.

Not a lot more. I’ll put a low rider chair in the back to sit on, and I need a spot to fit a cooler. I plan on keeping my container of clothes in the backseat and just get out what I need for the next day, and keep them inside the topper. It’ll probably take a couple trips to get the details worked out.

I plan on putting a marine plug outlet into the frame of the topper so if I’m at campground with power, I can have power inside the topper for a small microwave or electric heater. If not, I’ll just heat with a buddy heater.

Boy, am I glad I live in Maine. I just buy tags and hunt.

Yup. That would be rough. Luckily here in TN we have a mix. Plenty of public WMAs we can hunt, but then there's quota hunts for certain WMAs and areas where you have to be "drawn" to hunt. One of these areas was where I saw, shot at, and missed Bullwinkle. That's what I'm calling him anyways. Hoping to get drawn for that area again this year.

Plus you aren't dealing with gators, venomous snakes and large spiders. Our son-in-law (Michigan transplant to FL) did a draw hunt and encountered every one of those in a single weekend. That was his one and only excursion to hunting FL. Now he takes a week of vacation, flies back to the mitten and bowhunts with me in late October.

What kinda sissy kids they raising up there?

Hehehe

That is so cool! I'm way too low budge to afford one, but I sure enjoy the photo.

As soon as I get our land paid off (next spring hopefully), I have plans to put on a pre-made "man shed" that will double for storage and a cot for an over-nighter when needed.
Yeah the BCT version starting at 350k might be an option if I won the lottery twice.
