What did you do today?

B24 Gearhead shooting from low pole at local public shooting range. Too hot to climb ladders.

That's a SWEET Public range right there!

Climbed for the second time today, and shot my bow out of the saddle for the first time. Over all I would say it was a success. Very happy with how I shot, but was only shooting on my strong side.

I Did have a WE step come loose on me on descent, it felt and looked solid on the way up. Made for an interesting minute or two, and had to get a little creative on getting down without using that step with my Knaider/Swaider and the two steps I had in my bag, but made it down in one piece. Definitely a learning experience but it wasn't exactly a huge boost of confidence for me in my choice of climbing method. I am not going to write them off too quickly.

Had a brunch of pork shoulder. This has been in the Wolfgang Puck pressure oven since Friday. It just keeps getting better. Crusty out side, moist inside. I keep it at 175F with the oven in sealed mode. Routed the corners of my industrial sewing machine table.

Bone removed. Lower half back in the WPPO for an overnight at 175F, unless it does not last the night. :D

Huh?

Swam in a creek and drank a beer?
Went scouting. Came across a creek that didn't exist according to the maps. Creek went over hip boots. Creek went over nipples. Creek went over head. Slithered up bank and found doe a few hundred yards past the creek no sane person would cross.

The creek is big enough that wading it is problematic, but small enough that paddling it is equally problematic. Swimming is that happy middle ground. Note to self: only hunt that spot on warm days.
