I cheated. I used a Hickory Creek mini crossbow. If I put the scope crosshairs on something, that's where the arrow hits. The fox was trotting pretty good through the woods and I had almost no time to get on him and pull the trigger. The sight picture was high and I missed him high by an inch. :confused2:

Spent some time today getting 2 of my boys some saddle time in. I also spent some time in the saddle myself getting used to everything.

Makes for hard hunting for us ag landers lmao unlimited food and superior bedding...if the bucks ain’t watching they are smelling you
 
I shot my bow for the first time in 8 weeks and also shot my broadheads for the first time. Broadheads flew well, I thought. The wife took some slow mo videos on her phone and they were coming off the bow like darts from what I could see. May shoot through some paper if I get a chance, but my instincts tell me not to fool with the bow too much at this point.

I hadn't shot in 8 weeks because of a minor rotator cuff injury on my release arm, shoulder felt a-ok shooting, so thats a win. Gonna try climbing tomorrow, which I also haven't done in 8 weeks. Season opens the 15th for me, so it's crunch time.
 
I shot from my saddle elevated again today and it is the lean of the bow that made me miss right yesterday. For some reason i want to cant it right hard when i shoot from the saddle. Easy fix though,check the bubble and bullseye!
 
Cleaned all the carpet in the house with a rental carpet cleaning machine, mowed the lawn, bought 200lbs of food plot seed (for a place I’m not even hunting this year), and upgraded the puppy’s bone....

Look at that face! I'd let the little guy do anything he wanted to do. Looks like he would make a great shed huntin dog. Is he a German Shorthair?

Im in the market for a different truck after putting mine in for what's likely gonna be 2 weeks due to warranty work. Ram 3500 bad turbo bad actuator bad nock sensor bad radio and speakers leaking antifreeze fuel system messing up air bag system messing up steering wheel.randomly went out of center exhaust brake partially worked and back to top cab corners leak like crazy when it rains.

So the newer duramac and strokes have been getting the eye. Looking at duallys this go around
