We still have all of January left so my season is 3/4 of the way done. As Yogi Berra used to say "It ain't over till it's over". When the curtain finally comes down, I will take a week or so and rest, then begin my post season scouting in earnest.
Same here (Feb 15th is the actual end) . After deer season there's a few weeks of squirrel season left and I like being able to scout and carry a 22 even though I'm not much of a squirrel hunter. For whatever reason, carrying something puts me in the mood to be out in the woods even it rarely gets used. Maybe a throwback to my childhood carrying a 22 everywhere on the farm. I like mountain biking around the management areas in the off season with plans to scout but don't actually get off the bike that much to hike
