My go to rifle is my tikka t3 lite in .308. I don’t have a lighter rifle so carrying any other rifle for deer is a waste. Primitive weapons season will be my cva optima v2 pistol. It packs well and shoots nice. I’m not overly impressed with effect on game but I haven’t really been super impressed by any muzzleloader. Ruger Bisley hunter in 41 Remington Magnum topped with a 4x Leupold will probably see some use this season as well. Also have a competitor pistol in 50ae and 7mm-08 barrels. Unlike the .50 caliber muzzleloader pistol the 50ae does has great effect on white tails. They may run when shot through the rib cage but much like an autumn sunset they paint the woods red. I also have an old Dan Wesson revolver in .357 that I wanted to carry for some up close open sighted action. The rear sight is wore out. My Ruger sight will fit but has too much elevation so if I use it I will have to use some Kentucky windage to make it work. Maybe a few others but that’s all I’ve been working with this summer.

I have an old 300 Savage that I haven't hunted with for a long long time. I bought it when I was 18 years old.

My little 20 ga browning shotgun.. I also use a Remington 243, though I don't like using it here at home. It's just too close quarters. Though I do like the traditions 50 cal every once in a while.

Beautiful. How someone can look at a gun like that and want a synthetic stock will forever boggle my mind.

Remington 7400 30-06,wood of course. Thompson White Mtn. stock with Green River 50 cal. barrel for sabots,Mag spark for side locks.
Grandson "laid claim" to my Remington 742 and 50 cal Thompson Hawken, which is fine with me. I lean more toward archery with recurves or xbows.

Winchester lever action 30-30 when I’m in rifle country. Last year I used my bowtech assasin during gun season because I was hunting on public land that is muzzle-loader only during gun season. I’m finding I like gun season less and less each year the more bow hunting I am able to do.

Weatherby Vanguard VGX .270. Bought it brand new in the summer of ‘88. GREAT rifle, love that thing and still shoots like a champ.
Really? I had a vanguard in 7mm mag, and it was a pos. Absolute club. Probably cause it was a 2000's production..everything went downhill.

Sub MOA to this day and a beautiful rifle. Loves any ammo you feed it as well.

Savage 110 30-06
Browning bar 7mm

Either one spells disaster for any whitetail I wish to kill within 300 yards.

Had a browning xbolt in 7mm that was deadly also.

Use mostly when doe harvest needs to be done. Mainly bow hunt
