What piece of gear are you most attached to?

100% my bow... everything I have I hold dear, but I saved up, a lot, and finally bought a flagship bow that’s set for me. I’ve always shot used second hand bows however they were when I got them. This VXR, well, I’m proud of it haha

I’d have to agree. I grew up shooting hand me down bows. My father was the president of a hunting club, meetings were at my house as a kid. Everyone would bring their new gear to show off and we did a lot of Shooting in the back. I got a few hand me downs. My draw length was all over, draw weight same, I learned how to shoot anything. First bow I remember was a PSE Mach 2. It was 3” too long and I just learned to adjust. The first truly new bow I ever owned is my current bow, a 2015 Xpedition XCentric 6 I bought as a leftover. This thing is one bad motor scooter, and I’ll never get rid of it. Years from now, something may replace it, but its pretty much a perfect bow.

Pretty much sums up my childhood and hunting career as well. I shot a 2004 switchback up until this March. (I still have it too haha)

That’s what growing up hunting is, I feel like. We had a beat up SMALL travel trailer that a few dads chipped in on that we kept behind a farmers corn crib. uncomfortable, too hot, too cold, too cramped, gear didn’t fit, stuff literally cobbled together, dads doing the best they could and guess what? We killed a lot of deer and had so much fun. I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

I don’t bow hunt much anymore but I rock a Mathews FX I bought brand new in 1998 lmao, last trip to the midwest all my buddies were really breaking them on me, guess who’s the only one that scored! I had the last laugh LOL

I would have to say my bow as well. It is mu first nice one,i bought it used last year,a halon x. It has been at the shop for 8 days now and i want to cry I miss it so much.
The last time i have not shot for 8 days must have been January or something like that.

I love these kinds of topics. This ones a tough one for me. I have several things I really am attached to. Over all of them though I would have to say it’s my bow also. The reasons are:
- I chose the exact colors I wanted in a bow and the camo came out WAY cooler than I expected.
- It was a bow I took a chance on without ever shooting it and it turned out awesome. I chose it instead of being talked into it.
- The company is direct to consumer and is a bit of an underdog in the industry. Im always more attracted to the underdog companies.
- It is an American company (I know most around here are).
- I wanted a bow I set up myself from start to finish and I did and even though I’m a hardcore novice at it, it seems to work really well for me.
- the small things: easy to work on, pretty forgiving, most bolts are titanium, more things I’m not thinking about.

My runner ups would be:
- my Marlin model 1895 GBL in 45-70. Only reason this isn’t in the top is because I don’t do much gun hunting.
- My Ridge Runner platform. It’s the foundation of my saddle hunting and just an awesome platform.
- My Vortex binos- 12x50 and 8x32’s. Two different tools for two different jobs, can’t narrow just one down.
- my Mad Rock Safeguard. Just because it’s so cool.

I'm most attached to.... Wait for it...
My tether...
But honestly. Anything I start to get attached to I loose or it breaks. Maybe the 20g. H&R single shot the first gun my dad got me. But it dosent get used to much.

Hah! Wouldn’t have thought of that one.

I am gonna get some haters for this. But my fav is my cell cam. It keeps me in the woods 24-7 stocking deer and looking for new spots and always gives me a surprise every morning when I wake up.
