I use a bitz for vanes and feathers. I find that I have to adjust the angles for each because of how different the base is of a feather vs vane. Example, if I have it set up for a vane to contact the shaft perfectly, if I put a feather in the jig, the base will contact the shaft only on the corner of the quill. Have to readjust the angle of contact for them, which means a vane won’t mate nicely without adjustment.I've been shooting Blazer 2", but used Heat vanes also. I use a Bohning Pro Class jig to build mine out, but the Bitzenburger just looks so much nicer, and like it would fletch so much better. This fletching jigs article talks about how high quality the Bitzenburger is, and I know a lot of pros use it. I know this isn't the main topic of this thread, but has anyone used a Bitzenburger jig for their vanes?
