I'll be starting to scout for deer soon, also love bass fishing in my kayak. Just recently got into knife making.
Nice....do you race on dirt and ice?Motorcycles, motorcycle racing and bow hunting go together. When on season is ramping down, the other is ramping up. Those are my main interests. I also like to play with old tractors as well.

You're truely a man who understands his world and how he fits in it. Amen brother! When I'm not hunting im getting ready to hunt. My off-season consists of selling hunting gear I bought last year that I didn't use and buying new hunting gear I probably won't use. Scouting for next season until greenup. Little bit of turkey hunting if I can fit it in. Spending time with the family stocking up brownie points until October

Home ownership, right? A time consuming hobby in itself I've spent the past two months attacking the honey-do list. It's like frickin whack-a-mole, as soon as you fix something another project pops up. Truthfully I hate the diy handyman gig, but I can't/won't pay someone to do it for me and ya gotta keep the better half happy and keep the nest maintained. Spiffed up the laundry room and put in a new kitchen floor in so far this winter. Gotta finish some touches in the kitchen, redo the trim, try to spruce up the cabinets to keep her happy with them for ten more years, yada yada. Next on the list I have to seal my decks and walkways, of which I have a crap ton. Then refurbish my shed that is falling apart. Then I'd like to put in a garden. Not to mention the routine maintenance.
I love to cook and that probably takes up the most time free time besides hunting and house stuff. BBQ and grilling obviously reign supreme, but anything that doesn't involve measuring (i.e. baking). I leave that up to the ladies. Consequentially I also like to eat and drink beer which means I need to start exercising again, something I've rarely done since my daughter was borned two summers back.
I still play a little beisbol in an old man's league. I used to be pretty deep into golf but I only get out a few times a year anymore.
Fishing, I have a boat and make it out to fish for Erie walleyes a few times a year. I dabble in some local stuff too but none of the puddles around here hold a candle to the great lakes.
I have a lot of dormant hobbies that I've dropped along the way. I really enjoyed brewing for a stretch but it's just too time consuming and I had to drop it. Same with bows, tried making a couple selfbows but I just couldn't find the time to continue. Hard for me to dabble in that kinda stuff, when I jump into something I want to reach expert level as fast as possible. I kinda go a little nuts when I get into something. My wife always tells me what a good retiree I'll be.
Hard water angling January through March (mostly for pike & panfish to eat).
April is mud season... should be using it to scout more.
May is sort of turkey hunting (0 for 6 so far)...if I hear any birds the first time or two.
June-July is bass fishing & bbq season.
August is pool & margarita season.
September is back to school and hunting anticipation season.
October is the most wonderful time of the year.
November is freeze your butt off while you watch trees grow and orange clad humans go for a nature walk with a gun season.
December is really freeze your ass off while you desperately try to avoid tag soup season.

Congratulations! Sounds like a great new hobby. I'm closing in on it and feel like I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. As I tell the guys at work, "How long? Somewhere between five minutes and 5 years."My new hobbie this year is retirement
