Which states dont allow screw in steps?

in west virginia, screw in steps are illegal on public land

on the wmas, the law is written so that it is illegal to even reach out and snap a living briar branch in your way or purposefully break them over with your foot

Reached out to West Virginia's DNR yesterday...

Mr. McDonald,

Anything that damages and/or penetrates the bark of a tree on a WMA is prohibited. Thus, screw in steps, climbing spurs, etc. would not be allowed for use.
