Which sticks to get?

So I'm in the market for new sticks, should I buy beast sticks, tethrd sticks, catalyst outdoors sticks, or timber ninjas? I'm completely undecided but am leaning to the beast sticks. Let me know what ya think.

I have the beast sticks and they’re great. If I were in the market for new sticks I would look at the tethrd sticks just to shave weight. Although I’ve read they’re having some problems with them right now. I’d probably wait until they get that sorted out. If you end up going beast, you won’t be disappointed.

Beast sticks are good choice.

I would avoid the Tethrd sticks until they fix the issue with the glue failing.

Catalyst … they won’t be making sticks anytime soon. I wouldn’t wait for then either cuz they might never come.

Timberninja never tried them. The plastic steps turn me off and they charge insane amounts for shipping.

That’s a great deal on that stick. I tried 1 of these before just to see if I’d like it and it was $115 at the time- still on sale even.

How heavy are the beasts compared to the tethrd? I thought they were very comparable weight wise

My vote is for the beasts. Not the lightest or most compact compared to some others but they make up for it in features and how solid they are IMO. The way they stack together is really cool I think and the rod they just released to clamp them together is frikin awesome. They might as well be welded together. No sound or movement what so ever.

If you use the buckle with the beast stick you will save about a pound per stick if you go with tethrd and use their attachment method. I tried daisy chain with the beast stick but didn’t like it. Went back to the buckles. My scale has them at 2.2 lbs per stick and buckle. They’re rock solid on the tree though.

What happened to catalyst?

I might wait then, I have stacked outdoors sticks now that I like but I'm trying to cut weight and they compare to the beasts that way.

Beast minis get my vote. Just use a rope mod or daisy on them. Using the truckers hitch method you can get them as tight as cam buckle. My sticks with a cable aider on them and Amstel daisy come in right at 2 lbs a piece. I normally carry 3 with me but have 4 if I need the height.

The LWCG single step mini or double are at 1.5 if you want to try some. There are a set of 3 on the classified for around 250ish? You can't beat the Tethrd One in regards to weights, but against there are issues. The Shikars are nice too at the lower weight. Also consider if you are planning aiders and what type. I think the EWO are the way to go if you want aiders.

I can't speak for the other sticks you mentioned but I've have beast sticks for 2 seasons. Like others have said they aren't the lightest or pack the smallest, but they are rock solid on a tree and have almost no flex. I've tried wild edge steps, SRT, Shikars, climbing spurs, and drill/bolts and keep coming back to beast sticks because there is no fiddle factor and have never felt unsafe while climbing with them. 3 beast sticks with amsteel rope mod and a naider/swaider and scout platform on the top stick weights 7.5 lbs and gets me to 20 feet.

Yes, $73/stick would be a crazy deal for EWO....but they look to be $122ea in the configuration that loads, and I don't even see a way to option down to $73 and have a full stick, so I'm not exactly sure how that works.

As for now beasts. I may like my Tethrds more if they fix the glue issue. They did replace my broken steps no questions asked so I'll give them that. Who knows if it's really an issue or just a bad first batch. My Nov 19 beasts had bent standoffs within 5hunts of using them. Mario sent me all new brackets and they have over 40 hunts on them, including me yeeting them multiple times out of the tree on the way down. And they still look brand new. We'll see how big of an issue this is once people begin to use them during the season

Same here, could not figured out no matter what selection I made.

I am also looking for what three sticks I’ll use this season.

Did you try knaider/swaider with the shikar FXD? Anyone else here? Were they ‘flexy’ on the climb with that aider method?

Beast sticks for me. I bought a set of 4 off the Classifies and could not be happier. I can't speak for other sticks as these are the only set of sticks I've ever owned.
