Has anyone bought and used these mini sticks and if so are they worth buying and giving them a try.

I just got a set about a week ago.
Pros: short, huge step, stand off from tree is generous, I wear a size 9.5 boot and can get both feet on the top step, the locking mechanism is nice. Cons: They are heavier than advertised, the locking mechanism broke the third time I put it on a tree luckily I didn't lose the nut and was able to put the correct tension pin back in (probably will replace the factory ones in the remaining two sticks). I wish I'd bought the 4 pack.

I think a rope mod or amsteel daisy chain would be great on these as the straps get in the way of the locking mechanism.

I'm interested to see how the lock holds up over time. It's a great concept but I don't see this working forever.

For 100 bucks I can't say I'm mad. You get what you pay for. They will work for now.

They are heavier then the Novix or LW due to the square tubing being 1/8 instead of 1/16. Also the hardwares are bigger plus the locking system. But you can shaves alot of weight. I cut 2 in off the bottom, change to rope mod, and drill holes (DONT DRILL HOLES TO NOVIX OR LW!!). This got me down to 2 lbs each stick. I'm actually going to mod them further based on my plan to carry 2 sticks locked together on each side of backpack, So when I get to tree, disconnect 1 stick from each side on the ground, climb with backpack up tree with one stick attached to each side. This would reduce needing 4 locking hardware.

Any issues with the 2” cut off after using them a while? Im looking at mine and cant even understand why they left the 2 useless inches on the stick.

None at all. Been in the wood a few times and have bounce on the bottom steps a ton. But its not the ultimate weight saver. You save maybe 10 onces combine maybe?
