To answer your question OP, I live pretty close to the OH / PA state line. I simply jump over to OH to hunt Sundays, and I have noticed that the majority of "hunters" are far too worried about some overpaid crybabies on the football field to be out in the woods. Fine by me.

Here in NY you can hunt seven days a week and twice on Sundays, lol.
I'm fortunate to have a work schedule that gives me plenty of days off during the week so I rarely hunt on weekends. In my mind, serious hunters plan when to hunt and make the time to do so regardless of the day of the week. Weekend warriors are the type that want to impress their social circles by calling themselves hunters... I've got a couple of "friends" that are in this category and have met a few other "hunters" who never get out and actually hunt.
I say ban Sunday hunting, hate on...
Agree.

In the majority of PA that is not an accurate statement. Maybe so in special regs areas, but not statewide.
There is one Sunday in Archery state wide plus a Sunday in gun season were you can use a bow and in special reg areas you get one extra Sunday.

So your initial statement wasn't accurate statewide. Yes, you can use your bow during general firearms, but that is not archery season as you indicated.

What's your point. I just said there's 2 Sundays for Archery and I never said state wide. So do you want me to say I made a mistake ok. I hope it makes you happy so be it.

Majority of the quota hunts here are Fri,sat, sun 3 day hunts....it's difficult enough to figure it out and make a kill in 3days....

for me personally, I feel closer to the divine/spiritual when out in nature...

Everybody knows our days of the week are named from Norse gods/goddess right? Sun goddess Sol is who the day is named....how can I pay tribute to the goddess who chariots the sun across the sky when I'm cooped up inside a building?

No experience. Sure, there is a background, from over 200 years ago. But it probably makes about as much sense today as the following would:
Sunday - no hunting
Monday - no biking
Tuesday - no running
Wednesday- no fornicating (hump day)
Thursday - no basketball
Friday - no swimming
Saturday - no polka dancing

I don't know about all of Michigan. But in some of the counties, you could not gun hunt on someone else's property on Sunday. Not sure where that came from. I believe the land owner could. But no one else. That was the case on the property I hunt back in the day. At some point they removed it. 20 years ago or so.

Columbia, MD used to be my home but I never hunted up there. Always came back to KY and hunted on the farm. It's hard for me to imagine not being able to hunt on Sunday if I wanted to. Some don't and I prefer to go the church first and hunt the evening.

I grew up in Massachusetts where hunting was prohibited on sundays. As a kid in a non hunting family I liked that there was a day each week when I could get out in the woods and not worry about the hunters. As a hunting adult I have mixed feelings. I know a lot of people would have a lot more opportunity to hunt if sundays were in play, which in theory means there would be a lot more deer harvested. So I guess my opinion is that at least in Mass, it’s really a question of what’s best for maintaining a healthy deer population.
