The kit came with a ucr rope but the static line is plenty long enough to convert to a whoopie sling if you want.

I really want to figure this out. I have a lone wolf assassin and it works great. I think this xop would cut alot of weight

I'm late getting in on this but I'm interested too Ernie. Great idea. I'd be down for two or three.

I think I am going to sale my xop kit. It is completely finished with xop seat and 2 claws on back of it. I can't seem to get the hang of it. Plus I already have an assassin platform and it works for me. How about $145.00 shipped to buyer. It will come out of the box ready to use

I'll shoot a video tomorrow showing how I get mine setup. Hopefully that will help you get the hang of yours.

That would be great. I only had two sits to use mine before season ended here, and I must have done something wrong with the way I used the rope. Had creep in the rope that over time led to the top of the stick coming loose and the platform moving left to right.
Haven't had time to look into it and figure it out because I had to leave for Xmas, so a video would be just on time to cater to my laziness :)

That's no good. Admittedly getting the rope properly adjusted is the trickiest part. The rope shouldn't slip though if tension is on it. Especially since a good portion of the sliding part would be on the tree providing even more friction.

Did it creep both times you were out? Has anyone else noticed this same creep?

I had a few minutes to play around with my platform for the first time yesterday. I didn't get it to work before I had to call it quits. I was also having the rope slip, it was slipping as I tried to cam the platform over, even when I put pressure on it to keep it tight. I was thinking about converting it to a whoopie sling. I ran out of time to keep working with it and its not the top project on my list.

Yeah, it did slip both times. I also played around with different starting points before camming over when I tried to readjust.
One thing that might be a reason (other than me being stupid, which is a very real possibility :) ) is that the tree was very skinny, so maybe not enough of the doubled part of the rope was being pushed on by the tree?
As most people don't seem to have any issues it must be something I am doing differently (aka wrong).

Well perhaps we rethink this. A whoopie sling may indeed hold better. But it will require you to reset the attachment on that side every time you adjust the rope. I have provided plenty of extra rope in case you want to remove the sliding part of the ucr and feed the tail into a whoopie.

The other option may be to put the adjustable part of the whoopie sling through around the frame of the seat. Then you would only have to wrap and attach the other end once.

A final option, and would be to remove the sliding part and just use a stepp knot. I have no problem changing these kits up to make it easier for people.

I wouldn't be able to feed the whoopie sling through the frame before splicing for you, but anything else I can do, let me know.

Myself and G2 are using the whoopie with the adjustable loop through the frame. Not sure if he has had any trouble, but mine has been just fine. It did slip once but that was all my fault.

I like that idea but it would mean I can't do the splicing for you. And that part made some people uncomfortable.

You can build the whoopie without having access to the platform. I girth hitch my whoopie sling to the platform.
