Where are you guys buying your amsteel in bulk?
Where are you guys buying your amsteel in bulk?
I’ve been getting it on eBay

We have not come up with a good safe way to do it yet.Question...
Anyone replaced all of their rope with amsteel? I know some guys have made an amsteel bridge, but outside of losing ability to run a ropeman has anyone tried replacing their tether and linemans belts with amsteel?
Here you can buy it by the foot: http://www.amsteelblue.com/bulk-amsteel-blue/
I just got 37' on ebay for $24 shipped so it's been a little cheaper on there for me.
I can't find it by the foot on ebay, only in pre-cut lengths. Is that what you're buying?
I ordered some 1/4" Amsteel in Olive Drab color this morning. 50' should be enough for some neat projects like this. I still have a couple hundred feet of the 1" camo tubular webbing.

How are the lock stitches holding up? What is the bury length for the lock stitch sections?

I definitely want to try to make some bigger loops for extreme cold weather boots. The hollow core gives you a lot of options with material.

Man that looks nice. I tinkered with a multi step aider using tubular webbing but it really wasn’t for me. Too much fishing my foot around to find the loop hole. I’m tempted to try this out though....

That's my conclusion too after this past season. They never laid right and always closed up or twisted. I wasted a lot of webbing. I would be ok with 2 steps but anything over that I didn't like much.
Nice work man. What is that climbing stick? You been making headway in a stepless design?
