Given I would just be using it to support X amount of my weight and not needing to have it level to stand on, seems adjustability wouldnt be as important?

Really depends on your hunting area. Some areas have more leaners than others. I standard KLEMZ works 90% of the time for me.

I actually just bought another of the old lone wolfs to play with. I just cannot cut up my original as it has way to many memories and I still prefer it. When I get this new one I think I am going to cut the platform in half, add a batwing to the top and remove the seat and see what I wind up with as far as weight. I like the deign of the platform for grapping the tree and will use a boat buckle strap around it to make it rock solid.

Lol. It's getting to the point where I have more disassembled tree stands and parts than assembled stands ready to go. My wife calls the parts my toys as I'm always making and hanging from my Frankenshit.

Dave I thought about cutting down a lw platform, but think you will lose a lot of strength not having the "main" hoop structure. If you do cut one, post pics.

With a little work, you can get two platforms out of that stand. You have to do some cutting and I think drill new holes, but the bottom can work too. I had it sketched out last season, but never got around to actually doing it.

I cropped the picture, but two thumbs and a pecker up
Seriously, aren't they great? I had some trouble yesterday in a really hard bark cottonwood, but otherwise it's been awesome

Well it's a guided hunt, and only one tag, so I've been holding out. But tonight it's the last night. Might even shoot a doe just too fill this tag. It's crazy windy tonight, so we'll see what happens

Working on that. He offered to let me come back later this year for free, but I don't know if I can schedule it.
