Introducing the 2017 Aero Hunter Kestrel

I got just the saddle. I like my HSS tether and linemans belt. Going to use a golf bag strap for back support attached to the bridge by paracord.

I got the saddle and the tether. I plan on using my HSS linemans belt and making a back support.

But this is my first saddle so I have no idea which of those decisions I will regret.

I keep checking this thread hoping to see "They started shipping early-My Kestrel Came Today!!!.......but It's not happening.:(

The Kestrel looks to be the true successor to trophyline, may they rest in peace. Kudos to newtribe, but wish they were cheaper.
Rest In Peace???????? Ouch!!!! Ok Red, this man's inflammatory and and highly offensive remark in regards to Trophyline is more than adequate evidence that the introduction of the long overdue " dislike " option to the forum is absolutely imperative. I hope I see you at pigmageddon mister:rage:. LOL

Yep!!! And considering New Tribe is gonna be the only one left after Guido's officially closes, they are likely to price their future hunting saddles even higher.

just the way of the world I guess. Think I paid 100 for my first saddle at bass pro.

I mean lone wolf prices are 450 now so....buy Chinese or keep this American dream thing afloat

You guys put way more thought into our pricing than we do. It's a formula that has to work or it doesn't work. It's an American formula so the pricing will be different then Made in China. We do what we do best.......keep people safe at heights.

Understood!!! And it looks like you all have produced a winner with the Kestrel. Keep up the good work.

It is a niche but an exciting one for me to be involved in. It has grown every year since we started. Who knows, we might be the company that can bring the right kind of awareness to what you guys are already on to.

it is an edge in hunting and everyone is looking for an edge. They just have to find you and be willing to take that leap into something none of their buddies are doing

Tree saddles were around $200 new when trophyline was last in business. This saddle is a little more but it is 10 years later and I think they are at a fair price point, especially if you just buy the saddle. The thing that so many people are forgetting when they look at the price of a saddle is that you only need one! One saddle and I can hunt as many trees as I can find, I just have to climb them. They are at a price point that compares to climbing stands, but they open up way more opportunities than a climbing stand.

I would always like to spend less. Who wouldn't? That said I've looked at enough buckles for sit drag mods to know that those three buckles would cost me about a hundred bucks. It stinks for those guys removing the leg straps to cut 60 dollars worth of buckles off but I'm sure they will find other uses for them. They could have built the saddles with triglide type buckles that we would have had to step through. They probably could do that and knock 50 bucks off the price and made more profit off each saddle. We wanted to be able to put our saddle on at the tree with ease without getting it muddy trying to get our boots through the straps. New tribe gave us what we asked for.

Red, with all due respect...... "man cannot survive with only one saddle"
