The SH Membership has gone live. Only SH Members have access to post in the classifieds. All members can view the classifieds. Starting in 2020 only SH Members will be admitted to the annual hunting contest. Current members will need to follow these steps to upgrade: 1. Click on your username 2. Click on Account upgrades 3. Choose SH Member and purchase.

Found a great spot on a river island 2 days ago.
Good news - saw 3 bucks even though I got in late.
Kinda bad news - they bedded down within 75 yards and have me pinned in the tree.
Bad news - I came in at low tide and had to tie up 10 feet off the bank. Now the tide came in and I'm gonna have to go swimming.

That's a cool view. I really like seeing the vastly different areas we all hunt.
Absolutely! Lol. Lesson learned. This is my first season hunting from a boat so I'm learning a lot and having a ton of fun.
@redsquirrel you were right. I was able to get down quietly and move away.
I got a little wet (mid thighs). But I took my pants off and waded out half naked - now THAT would have been a great "live from the tree" pic. Lol.

This is most likely my last live post until Pigmageddon. It's supposed to rain tomorrow and Sunday. Our season ends next weekend and I think I'm all booked up unfortunately.

Team 5, im still trying. I just rattled in a small 5 pt but i could not bring myself to shoot a 11/2 yr old.
Are you still rifle hunting? Thats a long season!

Yes, north Mississippi's season ends last day of January and southern part ends 2nd week in February.
