Good lord guys no one was expecting an instant refund LMAO...he message them a few days ago and never received a reply from the tethrd team and they were posting online.
I’m going to wait it out keep my order since I’m more of a mobile hunter than he is...You probably won’t beileve it but I’m actually a pretty patient guy lol. Most of the gear I use is niche/custom made which as we all know usually takes weeks sometimes months to receive.
I guess I’m more annoyed about the whole mantis thing because I truly believe it is the absolute best mobile hunting stetem there is and I feel like it will make me much more effective and I want it now dammit lol. I apologize if I’ve come across as a prick or anything not really trying too. I’m sure Greg and Ernie are great guys but I do feel like we’ve been led along and BS’d a little on this. I think most guys who aren’t buddies with them feel the same way.

What you guys are failing to understand is that the new gear was supposed to have been out already. I get it, new company, short lead times, yada yada yada, however, now arrival times are looking like smack dab in archery season. This is especially problematic to guys who don't have a closet full of saddles and have never saddle hunted. For a forum that kind of boasts that it isn't about attacking others here, I sure am getting a vibe with these repsonses. Who cares if he wants to cancel? It's their money. Personally I see both sides here, I don't really want to try to learn a completely new style of hunting mid-season either. Luckily I DO have backups, I have been practicing with a RC harness and my season opens a bit later, plus I'm really patient. I do see why some folks sphincters are tightening up a little though.
In what way am I attacking anyone? I made a suggestion. I didn’t say anything about him wanting to cancel, I just said there are options to get into saddle hunting that can be done quickly without much expense. I understand someone not wanting to wait right now. I completely get it.

Sorry man, yours was the last post that I hit reply to, but some responses above yours certainly have some jabs.
That wasn’t for you specifically, & I don’t want everyone to start going crazy taking sides. I just noticed that a lot of these threads at a high level seem impatient rather than patient. That’s all & it was similar last year when the kestrel came out , then similar again when production of the kestrel & kite were delayed b/c of wildfires. So I just wanted to urge everyone to take a deep breath & hang tight saddle hunting is awesome & can be implemented as a tool at any point in the season! Relax...... & @baz77 i agree if someone cancels an order they should expect a refund & I’ve heard these guys mention a few times that they’re standing behind this so I’m sure that’s a non issue.
Also, keep in mind Greg has been handling all the emails and messages mostly by himself and was completely overwhelmed over the weekend as you can image. He has recruited some help in that department and it should be a little quicker going forward.

I too am on the list of those still waiting for news that my products are on the way. I have been getting updates via email but having trouble logging on to the tethrd website to check my order status. In the meantime I did a DIY platform .

@flinginairos I haven’t seen anything I would call attacks but you, me and a pile of others on here would consider Greg and Ernie friends. Some feel the need to run to their defense every time someone feels something negative has been said. For those of us that have been here for a while it’s easy to be patient. I think half of the people who are saying be patient would be flipping out if they had ordered from a company they know nothing about and and a mid July date turned into possibly mid September. I will be the first to reassure people that are worried about ever receiving their gear but if someone wants to vent I can’t tell them they are wrong.
Yep, you are 100% right and I do understand the frustration. I just hate to see guys cancel when the end is in sight. Even though it’s been longer than we all wanted lol. If they have to cancel and move on I completely understand and they have every right to do that. That said, I used the prototype Mantis yesterday to prep trees. Had it on all day and almost forgot to take it off when I got in the truck to go home. It really is light enough you forget it’s even there!

That’s only because the mantis is custom contoured to the shape of your rear. Lol. I’m excited and disappointed. Not disappointed in the Tethrd team but more disappointed for them. I have confidence that by November everyone will be happy and Greg and Ernie will be back to thinking this is the best thing they have ever done.
I was getting impatient about my order, I ordered one of everything. So I just built a DIY saddle with materials I already had ( trees tand harnesses and a pair of camo pants. I just needed something to practice with until my order comes in, now I’m good lol.
No apology to me necessary I feel the same way. I think the guys at Tether'd are doing the best they can and they gave us what we wanted a lightweight platform..... for those that feel the need to bounce like tiger, get a diving board or a trampoline. This is a hunting tool made for a specific function, learn to use it properly. And what manufacturer ever has a first run without a few defects? Geez guys pick up the phone or email them instead of posting it on a public forum - give the guys a chance.
I emailed the tetherd boys a few days ago with some news they probably didn’t want to hear. Greg got back to me and was more than helpful, nice, and professional.

From an insiders perspective:
I speak with @Erniepower almost daily on the phone. I get the good, bad and ugly just like you guys get on the forum. He is hustling his tail off and dealing with unforseeable bs. @g2outdoors is right along with him. It's difficult to substitute for frustration but I know factually that you aren't getting any bs from them. Its convenient to add in your post that you are sure they are good guys but I actually am sure via personal interaction and years on this forum. You're gonna love the Mantis when you get it.
