If I knew Garret was going to film I would have put some hunting clothes on lol.

I think it’s worth stepping through the waist belt, bc that buckle is noisy when not connected with the male side of the belt through it. Just open it up big & hop in. Leg buckles don’t have to stay connected..........It does but you have to feed it through
Yep that was going to be part of my review..... I believe they totally missed it IMHO with that buckle and the leg buckles. I would have rather just had a single metal buckle you have to pull slack out of instead of that metal on metal sliding buckle. The leg buckle "quick connect" feature is also a major noise maker - and if we all just step through the waist and leg belts (which is what i believe most will wind up doing) it could have been far quieter with single metal buckles you pull the slack through. If you wear it from truck and have it all tightened up before you head to tree NP.... but if you put it in a pack and put it on at base of tree (or have to remove it to layer at tree) you have 3 metal rattles on it..... not good and a simple fix. Not show stoppers but could be a problem for saddle & bow hunters who for the most part are pretty noise conscious. there is a reason why stealth tape is so successful
You say all the time with your Hawk sticks it's just a matter of being careful and learning your gear rather than bubble wrapping or stealth stripping everything. So you surmise the buckles on the Kite are insurmountably loud without having it in hand? My rock harness has a similar buckle, I learned how to use it, how to keep it quiet, and I'm a dang ninja with it.
I’m pretty sure he said he has his already.
Touche. I get that is his opinion. I was excited for the kind of buckles I wanted to see on a saddle and everyone is full out crapping on them @putt4doe style. Just another example of when you get a bunch of people together that are uber serious and picky about their gear, there is no way off the shelf stock gear can please everyone. Can't wait til mine arrives.

Wow. First of all I have the Kite in hand. Second of all I haven't even done the review and folks are already lining up on '"sides". Third, my sticks don't have metal on metal contact like the saddle does. I was merely going to show both saddles, what I like and don't like so those who haven't taken the plunge could make up their own mind which route they would want to go.
I'll skip the review since everyone is an individual and can't be pleased.
I just made a quick comparison video between the Kestrel and Kite and it's uploading to my YouTube for those that want to see both side by side.
Dave what name do you go under on YouTube? I would like to see your video.I just made a quick comparison video between the Kestrel and Kite and it's uploading to my YouTube for those that want to see both side by side.

Man don't skip the review. Besides all of us, I would think and hope that the tethrd team and the Aero Hunter team, would want to hear your comparisons. I know if I was putting a product out I'd want to hear both good and bad reviews. Like you said you can't make everybody happy but that's not really the point. To make everybody happy you'd have to talk out of both sides of your mouth and that's not what we're looking for. Yes there is always going to be somebody who just sides completely one way, but those guys are usually pretty easy to spot and disregard there "opinions". Looking forward to hearing your reviews on both products. And would definitely enjoy a side-by-side comparison of the Mantis and the kite.Wow. First of all I have the Kite in hand.
