No Commercials or sponsorships, Why?

'I guess New Tribes owes Red a huge thank you. The saddlehunter.com effect. Your greatest marketing tool so far. I expect this site is responsible for at least 50% of all saddle sales."

There's chickens and there are eggs. Which came first? I know. Read through the thread listed below from ArcheryTalk that began on July 29, 2013 and get back to me about cause/effect and who made who. Make sure to read it all, especially post #886, on page 36 where Red Squirrel posts. Perhaps, Saddlehunter owes New Tribe a huge thank you. And perhaps all those Saddlehunter.com cards sent out with Kestrel orders had an effect. I've been seeing a lot of new users lately.

Thursday's history lesson is over; class is dismissed.

That's scarry. I'm hope that we will be having a large gooseneck camper to stay in. Seals72 is in the process of buying now. Maybe being this close to our hunting area will detour those pieces of crap from stealing anything.
Have any luck while there?

Only made a few trips. Killed a hog. Missed a buck. Almost stepped on an alligator in the briars. Good thing it wasn’t dark. Really wish I got to know the place better.
You will be fine in a camper. It was just the thugs in yazoo city peeking in doors at night. I may make a rut trip this year.

I never claimed to invent saddle hunting. I just created a website where saddle hunters can come and discuss all things saddle hunting and I do it for fun. I'm really not sure why every time you come on here you have a negative attitude towards the site. I have done nothing but be kind and recommend aero hunter to everyone looking for a saddle because I feel they put out a great product. Doesn't saddlehunter.com and aero hunter both promoting saddle hunting help to grow the community as a whole? All those saddlehunter.com cards? The intention is to give new aero hunter users a place to go for guidance to use their new saddle. I don't care if they come here or not. I make zero money off the site. My goal was to create a consolidated resource for the saddle hunting community. If you do not like the site, nobody is forcing you to come here.

So how dd the chicken get here without coming from a egg? Creation? Evolution?
I'll give it a go...

In The Beginning was Chicken, and the Egg was with Chicken, and Chicken was Egg. Beyond Chicken there is nothing, for Chicken is The Beginning, and Chicken is The End. And in The Beginning it was good.

But from The Darkness came Fish, and Fish claimed to be better than Chicken, and many foolish men believed him, and did profane their lunch pails. And from Fish's deceit did spring Tuna Casserole, who wrought much woe upon the world.

But Chicken and the Egg looked down from the Coop, and saw Fish's deceit, and the woe that had befallen the faithful, who suffered under Fish's disciples. And Chicken did in his mercy and wisdom appoint a man to save his fellows from Fish.

And his name was called Tony Chachere.

That's all I remember.

I never claimed that you invented saddlehunting, nor did I claim that you feel like New tribe owes you something. That said, Ontariofarmer's post is deeply offensive to anyone who has been working with New Tribe from the beginning, or with saddlehunting long before the genesis of this site.

He claims that New Tribe OWES saddlehunter and you something, and perhaps every member of this community. That's a brash, and ridiculous statement on any day of week. The fact that you liked his post is problematic at best, and self serving at the worst. As for this site and my posts, I do find that this site spends much more time back-slapping, glad handing, and pecker measuring, than actually being a helpful resource. It was helpful early on, before everyone was trying be "saddlehunter famous."

Maybe gratitude could be mutual
Question for you. Has sparrow hawk or this site, had more effect on kestrel sales?
How about the technical advice not knocking Bobby
I am sure the benefits have been symbiotic
Testimonials from this site has a huge effect.
If we loved Bullman steps they would be sold out but we just like them. Same with WE steps
Bobby's video on EnoPow climbers created a spike in demand on Amazon. The video was promoted here.
As a group the collective knowledge makes saddle hunting better and better as we improve things
How many guys would have given up the Kestrel or sent it back without the help and advice here
Where would kestrel sales be without platform innovations from Ernie or Others
Or where would saddle hunting be without stick and spur innovations.

There is no doubt gratitude is mutual between Aero Hunter and Saddle Hunter. With out the Aero Thread on AT there might not be a SH, with out SH Aero might not have sold as many. You talk about the testimonial, knowledge and demand that this site has created. All of this stuff was done before this site, the threads that were on AT created the same traffic that is here. This site is just specifically saddle related, so instead of going to Archery Talk to the tree stand sub form to the Aero or Tree Saddle thread now we come here. The information, knowledge, technical advice and testimonials would still be out there, just on a different forum. The Aero thread on AT has only like 150k views the Trophyline thread (that was lost in a server merge) had over 500k. So the information will find a way to be out there, so it hard to say what numbers or information would be around if saddle hunter wasn’t, because its all a guess. I do know that the Trophyline thread sold a lot of saddle or they wouldn’t have reached out to me.

Thanks,
Boswell

It is all a guess. But I doubt the Kestrel would have taken off to the same degree without a replacement for this site. But I could be wrong. Thanks Boswell

Wow. Really? I’ve never seen another forum more helpful or friendly than this one. Saddlepalooza was absolute proof of that. 40+ strangers got together, shared ideas and hunted together without ONE BIT of drama. I’d like to see another forum do that.

Hey man, just keeping it lighthearted. I don't like confrontation.
Thanks. It is an interesting viewpoint. I really am not into this confrontation. I guess I just started by saying how this site contributes to sales of saddle stuff. I just want it all to end. Read my original post.

It was about commercials and sponsorship. I focused more on the impact of this forum. But it went elsewhere.

I am sorry for any bad attitude I may have displayed. I really do like how this forum operates. Not much foolishness.

Right on. Ultimately it doesn't matter. I like supporting aero hunter. I'm sure aero hunter likes the publicity they receive from the site, regardless of what percentage of their publicity it is. Why does anything else matter? We all like saddle hunting and promoting it.
