Entire setup...5.25 lbs

Those carbon pegs are a great idea. Now, if only you could get a super light weight portable drill. Pretty sure I'd work up a sweat using the treehopper hand drill. That's a sweet setup for predrilled trees though.

I think Makita makes a similar driver. Don't know if that would have enough muscle to drive 10-15 bolts on one charge or not. But if it did...

I'd also like to see how a battery did down in the teens.
The dewalt li batteries do fine. I've drilled hundreds of maple taps in the 0-15 degree range with no problem. Lose very little lofespan....but those are 18v...

Can I have a look at that modified Anderson sling? I have one myself and I would really like to get some ideas on how I could be using it

@Vtbow just became a daddy for the second time so he might be a little slow to respond.... :)
If you search for it he did post it in another thread. Might be easier to search under his posts.

@deep_phried_squirrel, sorry about last night...

You know how to mess with a fella's day! LOL! Man that looks awesome and I know tasted better!
They were magically delicious. However, I also braised some in red wine and homemade chicken broth, after smothering them in onions, garlic, and 'shrooms. Those were even better served with homemade mashed taters and collard greens...

FYI, I just order two 96 inch Sticks of 3/8 carbon for $148.67 shipped from Rock West. I had them cut to 64.5 inch’s on both sticks which then can be shipped UPS for 11.67. I have a arrow saw plus other high speed grinders if needed to cut them up to the six inch length. You will have to call to get this together and I told her I was going to put it up on SH and she said that would be fine and to call her direct. I want to say thanks for for everyone’s prior input. I’ve used bolts for climbing for over 35 years and sometimes need 25 plus to get where I want. The weight reduction is going to be nice.
