I didn't like my IQ sight, didn't think it was that great of build quality, and as long as you have decent form you'll never need to look at the retina lock.
Got my EZV this week. Installed it yesterday and did initial setup tonight. Pretty easy process.
The supplied pin comparison chart worked great. My old sight lined up with the 250 insert. Definitely painful to push the inserts in and out but I got it done.
Initial shots at 20 went well. Some rightward adjustment necessary but a couple small moves and I had it. Liked my 20 groups (all 10 ring) so I went back to 30 and let a few fly. Another slight move right and I had these mostly in the 10 ring. Went out to 40 and while I struggled to keep these groups as tight I think it was mostly just poor shooting. All shots were on an 8" plate though. I then went in to 20 and out to 40 to see if a different insert was needed (per directions) and everything looked right.
Pretty sweet setup. Of course I need lots of practice to get used to framing the vitals but my initial experience suggests that this will be an easy learning curve. Excited to lose the range finder and improve low light opportunities. Probably will ditch my peep soon also. Always hated that thing. I'll keep my kisser button to anchor off of.

I'm hoping to get mine on soon and do some shooting as well. I did order some of the thinner inserts that are now available and really like the way they look.

Just did initial shooting on a new 3d target. Not as pleased as I was on the block with the oval, but it was only one session.
I noticed that I tended to want to frame the vitals high. This got me wondering if I can just adjust the site up to match how I see the vitals. Anyone try this?
I found that I could force myself to aim lower and be spot on but the sight picture for this was wider than the vitals. More like very front of leg/body and way past last rib.

From what I have understood Aaron to say, yes, you can do that. However, keep in mind that the smaller the area you set your sight to frame, the harder it’s going to be to accurately frame that small area the further out you go (50 or 60+ yds). A simple solution is to use a rangefinder if shooting that far out.

Yes it makes sense. Thanks. I'm a northeast boy so I don't think 50-60 yard shots are an issue for me. I will be shooting 30 and under and would like this thing to be bang bang on the acquisition and release. Today's session felt more like searching and looking left & right while feeling like it was too wide even though I knew where it was going to go. I'll tinker with it and see where it leads me.
Are you using the sides with the yardage marks? I think I'm between inserts as far as bow speed. I used my range finder and used the yardage marks until my brain remembered the gap....i have to frame the vital ball a little high at closer shots but on target 25yd and out. 20yd down to 10 the point of impact only changed maybe an inch-inch half using 20 yd mark. Better to miss low than high
I am just starting with this sight as well but it sounds like you might need to change v insert? Go up one in speed? I think that is what it said in sight in instructions?
