any idea how it would work if you put a cap on the tree fork so It wouldn't cut into the tree? Thinking for the trees that get sap on everything when you cut into them.

I would stay away from this thread turning into an update on production or status. It will just result in a locked thread. Forget lead times here, it worth the wait, you get it when you get it.....
I tried the Hybrid with the Lone Wolf hand climber last night and it works but on the first try it was tough. I will keep trying but I think the one stick method is going to be your best bet. I will however verify that this thing is extremely comfortable.
I tried the JX 3 with the LW Hand climber down at Saddlepalooza. It was a slow go both up and down the tree. My plan is to wear my RC harness for climbing and descending. Basically just wear it under the JX 3. I have been doing it for years with my Summit Viper, and It weighs almost nothing so no big deal.
Did anyone try the one stick method with the JX3 hybrid? That is going to be my next test
