It's just...a little crush... - Review of the JX3 Hybrid Saddle

I’ve tried it twice & am not sold on the idea. You have to rotate 90 degrees right or left every time you position the stick. The fork gets in the way , even if fully inserted. One sticking is way easier in my kite. Try both & post your opinions. I’d like to get together w/ @Adrena123 & make a video highlighting the difference in one sticking. There are places the JX3 really shines, just not here...
Really would like to see/hear more on this. The 1-stick seems like the best way to offset some of the weight of the JX3, but not if it is too difficult to climb that way.

I’ll work on it, I will say this. It carries much better on my back than when I pick it up off the tailgate. Also I’d much lighter /carries better than a stand on my back........

How far out on production are they on the JX3? Does anyone know? I got on the list quite a while ago. It didn’t sound like it would be made before Spring Turkey season, so I didn’t count on it, but I’m just curious.

Reach out to John he’ll get back to ya!! I know they were gearing up for more units, sounds like a couple are coming....

I was planning on just using sticks to climb. I’m hoping to use the jx3 for long rifle sits up in the mountains. I can assure anyone wondering John is moving down the list.

I was out in mine tonight for about 45 minutes. I tried the One stick method with a Lonewolf stick and for the first time to me it was easy. Here are two photos my wife took at ground level before I unhooked. One in hunting position and one in sleeping position.

The fork actually helps when doing the one stick method. As you pull your stick up push off with your foot just long enough to slide your rope or strap by and you are golden just sit there and relax while you adjust your stick. The hardest part is when you stand up you need to be careful because if you were to slip you may have that fork in the back of your leg. But for those asking about the one stick method with the hybrid to me it was easy. I was using a standard Lone Wolf stick.

Sweet music to my ears.

Bad news for my bank account...and maybe my marriage.

Looks like a sweet sleepy gun season to me!

Yeah I am not sure I will be able to sneak this size box into the garage without being caught ... I may have to call in sick the day it is coming? I can no way tell the mrs of this purchase lol. I need therapy to stop this madness. Big chunks of cash leaving the accounts at alarming rates... the first step is acknowledgement??

Anyone want a HangTime hat or shirt?? :) It just may save a man's marriage lol

@parkersdad would you use a platform with this? Looks like your legs could use a break from just hanging there or could you just use the top step of your sticks?

My stick was already off of the tree when my wife came out with the camera wanting to take pictures. I was twenty feet in the air using the one stick method. I will use the top of my stick and on larger trees two strap on steps for more movement. My wife has always made a comment that you will never be comfortable in a tree. However after seeing this she said ok that looks comfortable.

You really don’t need a platform w/ Jx3. Top of climbing method plus a couple steps is more than adequate.....
Exactly, on a small tree all you need is the top of a stick. However on a larger tree all you need is the top of a stick and two steps.
