It's just...a little crush... - Review of the JX3 Hybrid Saddle

The hybrid is awesome for turkey hunting. I use the bow holder to hold my pack with calls. Also the seat has enough room in the front to keep your calls close.

Are you run and gunning or setting up in a well used location and where are you keeping your shotgun?

I’m running and gunning public land. I’m hunting with a bow and I hang it from a hanger right in front of me

Just so you guys can see I took a few pictures of how the hybrid packs in. The profile is like having a regular backpack on your back. For turkey hunting since I have so many calls I just stuck them in a little six dollar Walmart bag and put it between the seats. That way all I am carrying is my bow. For deer season I only carry a flask of water, a release, and a rangefinder. All that will be in my cargo pockets so I will have a bow in one hand a stick in my other to use the 1 stick climbing method. I may also put the stick in thehybrid on my back. However I kind of like carrying the stick in my left hand it balances out the weight of my body with my bow in the other hand.Don’t see how you can get much lighter than that.

Also most of you probably know this but Mr. John told me about the wrap on the bridge. Just take your tether and wrap it tight around the bridge and it will give you extra room to shoot with a bow

I’m telling you I am really impressed with this hybrid. With the load lifters pulled tight and the chest strap and waist strap tight I was walking hilly terrain and had no back fatigue at all. It feels like you are carrying nothing.

There is literally no way someone couldn’t be impressed with the JX3.

Great intel. Looks pretty awesome.

My time on the list must be drawing near. Which means the tears for when I send the payment are drawing near as well!

Parkersdad, in the second photo, how sturdy are the two hooks/clips that hold the seat up? great pictures by the way.

I'm on the list but there's no way I'll have one for turkey season so I'll use my Guidos Web for now. For the past 30 something years I've always sat on the ground or used a double bull blind. I never thought about using a saddle for turkeys until I started reading about the JX3. What an awesome idea, I'm pumped to give it a try. Anybody have any tips to pass along?

They are very sturdy. They hold the seat up very well. If you bend way over it will come off the hook but if you have the backpack straps cinched down it will stay on the hooks no matter how hard you jump up and down or bend over.

A lot of guys say if they’re only there three or four hours they take a regular saddle if they are there longer than that they take the hybrid. I’m the type of guy if I’m only gonna be there even for one hour I want to be really comfortable. It makes me where I do not move or fidget thus giving me the chance to see more deer.

Hey we did a quick partial review of a couple mods of the JX3 at the shootout. About 1/2 way through the video I show the custom seat hooks....... a lot more substantial than the stock ones....

Pick a large tree to cover your whole body or two or three trees close together. Decoys directly in front of you
Sit close to the ground. And keep the tree between you and any turkeys.
Clean any debris away from your feet.
Keep your weapon vertical on the tree and move it to the side of the tree quickly and kill your bird

I have yet to be seen by a bird doing this until I am shooting

I am no expert turkey hunter but it has been successful for me multiple times

Sorry but this a quick reply while watching some hockey
Super comfortable and easy to stay still and easy move compared to sitting right on the ground
Leafs win now go Flames go

I will be using the Lone Wolf Hand climber with my JX 3. I’m hoping it will slide in between the seat and the backrest for packing.
