So I went hunting on Wednesday and just as I'm about to get on my platform the nylon strap on my Doyle's gear hoist snapped.
It looked like it got caught up on a leaning tree branch or something but nonetheless I didn't expect it to snap. It screwed everything up and I had to one stick down the tree, jerry rig the remaining strap to my harness and get back up.
Now I'm looking for alternative that will not fail on me. Currently I'm looking at 4mm route because of this video:
But if y'all have any recommendations on what works for you then let me know. Anything that's compact and easy is what I'm thinking
