At Gettysburg during the civil war there was a battle at Little Round Top. The Union Army was on Little Round Top and the Confederate Army was held up at Devil's Den just across from Little Round Top. There was a famous picture of Confederate soldier who was killed during the battle . But the picture was staged. After the battle the photographer moved the body of the soldier and posed him for the picture. Also Devil's Den is the most haunted place at Gettysburg.

It's weird to me how we pick and choose what is what. Marco polo's travels are legit...except the part where he saw live dinosaur/dragon. John audubon is the world's for most expert on north american birds....except when he discovers the washington eagle...plato is the man except when he goes into great detail the history, culture, economics of atlantis.....how can they be scholar 1 minute but "made a mistake"

there was a ton of real shady stuff to go down during and after ww2, most of which just became local legends because they were wrote out of contemporary history, but the locals still know
Along those lines, I just finished reading Legacy of Ashes which is more or less an account of the shady crap that the CIA officially admits to, from that postwar period through 2005 - and frequently how outlandishly bad they were at doing it.

The stuff the CIA did is mindblowing, from purposely infecting people with syphilis to unknowingly drugging people to mess with their minds (Tuskegee experiments and project mk ultra respectively). Oh and that whole contra/drug war "thing"

So many coups to overthrow democratically elected governments to install violent friendly dictators. Supporting and arming the Mujahideen and Bin Laden etc. The Dulles brothers running US foreign policy by themselves. So many hopeless suicide missions in germany, korea, etc. It's a real hit parade.

(And that's just scratching the surface of what they admit).

Operation Midnight Climax was a great opp for sure.

So many coups, it's amazing what they've been able to get away with pretty much consequence free

So I'm curious, why couldn't Marco Polo have seen a dinosaur/dragon? The creature he describes sure does fit the bill. And if he didn't see it, why would he lie about that, yet describe everything else with honesty?
Is the only reason that it couldn't be true because "we know" dinosaurs haven't existed for 65 million years?

While I was in Ireland a couple years ago I learned about their revolution and found it quite interesting... and sad really....especially since it wasn’t too long ago. 100 years or so? Some people who fought in the war together that were best friends, ended up killing each other in the end. Imagine the best man in your wedding becoming your enemy and you have him killed? I think the youngest inmate in the jail was 5 or so years old? One gentlemen got married, couldn’t kiss his wife and was hung or shot the next day and she never married again. Anyway, that’s just a taste of some of the stuff I heard...... it was very chilling standing in the same spot that some of there heroes stood while they were killed by firing squad. I tell you what, I wouldn’t have signed a treaty for 26 of the 31 counties? I would’ve went all or nothing or died trying.....

I think he did see a dinosaur
the word dinosaur didnt exist 180 years ago dragon did for thousands of years .and he met the two kahns described them as 6 foot blond haired blue eyes and made it to sanfransisco with the ming dinasty.history by eye witness is real. revisionist history is controll.columbas discovered america ?seperate the collonies ethnicly.keep them devided with nationalist propoganda
