Why would a stick be behind the stand

Well being a stand company they are supposed to promote stepping level from your stick to the stand. While it doesn’t appear to be their stick so many they can’t post of picture of it and or they don’t won’t to promote another stick. I do get what you’re seeing and saying. I’d say it just boils down to marketing.

Ya, always step straight down onto stand/platform. I need to be a marketing consultant for these companies. Clean all those straps up and make it look presentable. Heck, do it at 1 ft and manipulate the picture to look like 20ft before I would post that mess of a pic to sell my look a like stand

I just got back from the expo. Looked at the new stick from elevated. 1.8 lbs at 17" step spacing. I lost interest.
Talked to Latitude. New stick is 100% carbon. A super grade carbon that can be driven through concrete. About 1 lb. Double steps, 18" step spacing. Separate steps and standoff unlike Tethrd.
Talked to Chad at Cruzr. New stick is 100% polymer. About 1 lb. Separate double step and standoff. Chad showed me a 3d rotating picture of the stick. Will work with daisy chain. Also seen how they stack in 3d. Stick looks alot like the LWCG double step stick.
Both sticks are taking longer then expected. I dont think we will see them before September.
100% polymer vs super grade carbon, sounds like Cruzr should come in cheaper. Maybe they will be able to give us a premium stick at a lower price than most others out there. Not saying I think it will happen but a guy can dream.

We will have to see if either one makes it to market. At this point they aren’t anywhere near ready. Latitude removing their carbon stick speed pass thing from the website is especially alarming.

I agree, when they first put the speed pass out they made it seem like they were very close to releasing. I imagined supply chain issues would arise but the talk of "engineering work" sounds like they haven't made it far enough yet to run into the supply chain problems.

Would think polymer is easier to get ahold of right now than carbon fiber but could be wrong.

"A little more expensive than our regular predators"

I guess it all depends on Ernie's definition of "a little", but to me, $40-$60 is in the range of "a little more". Again, that's just my swag(silly wild a$$ guess)

We'll know when we know I guess hahaha.
I’d bet they will be quite a bit more expensive than their regular predators. If it were only “a little more expensive than our regular predators” then they will be selling a lot less of the OG predators and almost none of the XL’s. Pricing structure will have to support the entire line or they will only be taking sales from one of their other products for zero sum net gain. Unless they are discontinuing products, which is highly unlikely.

Anytime I hear engineering issues, I always assume the prototype went for testing and didn’t do well, so you go back and figure out where you need to reinforce things so it passes standards testing. Many “great” ideas go to the wayside once those tests are performed. But I can’t speak for these two instances. Would be nice to see some super light sticks that didn’t have pin stacking issues, and glue busting issues, that could give better foot clearance and cost less than $110 per stick….

If there is one thing I have learned by trying to switch over to saddle hunting is that NEVER PRE ORDER from a saddle company.

I take that a step further and never pre-order from any company. If they were a bit larger and had established a reputation for delivering pre-orders on time, then I may make an exception. However, I also don't like being the guinea pig on new products. I'm a year-2, gen-2, kind of purchaser. Let other buyers get those kinks worked out

I bet your right about the pricing although it’s the only platform that caught my interest out of all the new ones.

Are you an OOAL rep? Does WEI have a rep on here? I was very very interested in the battleaxe but the communication is so bad they can keep it
I own OOAL they are going through some marketing difficulties hoping they are up and going back strong soon. Our ridge runner 2.0 is definitely available on our website outonalimbmfg.com

Great to have you on the Forum! Thanks for the quick answer. I have a Ridge Runner, which I like so much I am interested in the the RR2.0, which lead me to the Battle Axe.
