They want you to return them to test to see if they break. If they don’t break they return them to you. What kinda recall is that?
A tethrd one. I have been really trying to not jump on the hate bandwagon, but sheesh how many products is this company going to release then recall? Looks like I'm going to get rid of the XL predator I've been holding on to, I can't trust it even though it hasn't been recalled like the original as far as I know. Sheesh.

Bwhahaha. Don't ever want to see anyone hurt. But to quote donnie trump, I like to see bad people fail. Tethrd fails, Im happy about it.

Yea this seems to be a big trend to some of these companies building equipment in China and selling at a premium price.
I always say you get what you pay for.
A shame but if this keeps up, someone or a few will probably get hurt and the law suits will start pooring in and that will be it
Shame because tethred guys seem to be very nice guys and seem helpful in alot of ways.
BUt, when you push products to the market as fast as they do, this type of thing happens especially the things made overseas
the one thing i was never crazy about tethred was was the almost strategy of "let the consumer do the testing and any problems we will issue recalls" type marketing they employ.
I believe they need to sit down and hash out alot of problems they must be having
I Really hope they work it out
It will be very interesting to see what comes to be

Is it really "these companies" (which loops in the good guys like cgm and cruzer and latitude and tx5 and trophyline and the list goes on) or is it... Just Tethrd and hawk. I really haven't seen the quality and safety complaints about anyone else nearly as much as these two.

It's really weird, my experience has been shorter than many of you, when I got into saddle hunting 5 or so years ago tethrd seemed like they were the good guys, that's seeming more and more like an act. To me putting out a product that has known safety issues and then recalling (or whatever this bs recall testing is) is worse than just taking people's money like flat branch did.

no no your right
I really shoud have worded that differently and noted a few like Tethred or Hawk.
I also sadly agree about the good guy bad guy but, I dont think that Tethred wants this I just think that more extreme testing needs to be implamented on this type of stuff . Hawk equipment i would not use for free.
I myself own a cruzr xc and love it My sticks, stands, and platforms are all beast and Lone Wolf Custom Gear.
I really did meant tethred,Hawk, and at first the beast sticks were also made in China Dan and Mario I believe stpped that at least I think he did

Man, I remember being the first one to receive the first Tethrd product, first run “XL” Mantis batch. I take pride in the fact that I was also the first to resell a Tethrd product and have never looked back.

I agree. They want to stress my sticks and if they don't break, they will return them post stress so I can continue to use them. What if the stress they put on them weakens them?

reminds me of my Taco truck frame recall....i think they beat the frame with a hammer and if it didn't break they sent it home with you.....glad mine failed but truck was never the same after the new frame and so i sold it (they short shanked the reinstalling everything process)

i do think that some carabiner makers test each carabiner at some lower load, but i actually trust Petzl to know what they are doing

being overly nice upfront is the biggest manipulation ploy that there is

con man is short for confidence man because they gain your confidence in them first

a lot of people (stupidly) climb without any safety gear

i don't care what the fine print says, if one of their sticks break (they can somewhat prove a catastrophic failure that no one should expect from a product like this) and sends someone to the ground, then the lawyers will have a field day
