Just unboxed and assembled my Skeleton sticks, first impression is great. I like the angle of the steps, the rope containment system and the cleat for fastening the stick to the tree. The pin system will be good once I use them some, they are very tight currently. They stack very well, they are a little bulkier stacked top to bottom than my Hawks but the length is great. I've just started using a 5 step moveable aider with my 3 step Hawk sticks and can easily get 17 ft with only the moveable aider on the bottom stick and single step aiders on the other two sticks. With these I will get 7 ft with the first stick and aider and then average 4 to 5 ft with the other 3 sticks and aider. This should put me between 19 and 22 ft. I plan on seeing how these go with the aider and hopefully carry only 3 sticks with the aider and still get 17 to 19 ft which is plenty high enough with the current leaf cover.
All of the standoff teeth have been angled on the bottom, am i correct in think this is part of the modification to the standoffs from the original ones to help prevent them bending when seating them on the tree then applying body weight to the stick? Anyone know?
