Picked up a Hill People Gear Terahumara to use as a quick, grab and go type setup. This bag is small, but I think it’ll work out well for what I’m doing with it. A predator platform Is strapped to the back, 4 hawk helium 20” sticks on the bottom. I have some G-hooks in the mail to hook to the bottom tabs to hang the sticks (Using a temporary setup with side release buckles right now). Inside the pack I have room for everything I’d need for an all day sit, along with an extra top layer. If I’m packing bibs or a heavy jacket I’ll just strap them to the outside. I’m usually not going too far from the truck, so I think this will work out nicely. I typically wear the saddle in and I’m using 8mm oplex ropes so it’s not too bulky. I haven’t seen anyone post any good pics of a terahumara with sticks/platform so I wanted to share mine.

How would those sticks stack along the sides of the pack rather than underneath?

Thinking about pulling the trigger on a Trophyline CAYS 2.0 Anyone have any experience with them? I am not looking to spend more than $150 on a pack.

holds extra layers for both me and my son when we go out for gun season, had a zipper break when it was cold out, the pull part broke but had a replacement bag in less than a week.

I appreciate the info. Trophyline seems to stand behind their products. For the price I think I can deal with the little extra weight. I have some point built up with them that would bring this pack down to the $130 range. I haven't found anything else with a reputable name on the market in that price range.

This company appears to not be making gear anymore. But you can easily do a DIY version of this with heavy duty shock cord, webbing, zip ties, etc.

This net, and the Popup28 is the best I’ve tried and it’s not close. The net works awesome for storing layers on way to tree.

Alternatively, if you have layers you don’t want to get wet or snag on stuff, use some sort of dry bag or stuff sack in the meat shelf.

The combo has been the only pack system that stuck for me when not using the hybrid.

When I use the hybrid, I use the mininet. Also have a way to rig it to my hang on as well.

I was looking into them as well and got my hands on one to try. It felt heavy and poorly made to me. I passed on it. But if you get it and like it, please report back

I’m on my second season with mine .. I love it for carrying drt rope and ros but have not figured out layers and snacks for all day hunts.. I’m 5’9 197 lbs and it carrys very comfortable
